Love it that Pat is getting called out for his abhorrent takes
huh
I’ve been waiting for this post all day👏
What?
Macafee is horribly boring and cringe. I don’t get his appeal. Guess a lot of people watch but I just couldn’t get into it even though I tried watching a couple of times.
What episode was this I was trying to find it earlier
Pat definitely said this when Jlove was drafted and also has since come out and said Gute has proven he knows what he’s doing and it was a great trade for the packers to make. So what exactly is your point, that he can change his opinion when someone proves him wrong?
What in the yankie dankie doodle shit is Pat smoking.
What was the context of this? I dont watch much football talk tv, so I’m genuinely curious
I think this quote was from two off seasons ago (shortly after Rodgers was traded to the Jets), and this past offseason, after Love’s first year as the starter, McAfee said multiple times that he was wrong and that it was a bad take.
Off-season executive of the year. He got dethroned this year by Ryan Poles. Both make splashes both can’t build a team worth a shit
Yeah pats show is hot garbage now. If he wasn’t doing the college scene, acting like a belligerent college kid, he would be forgotten.
a lot of people on this subreddit were equally annoying for years! there was maybe a dominant view that Aaron Rodgers knew more about how to build an NFL roster than Brian Gutekunst did.
Surprise!
Well gutey still has a job and douglas is in the unemployment line
Brian Gutekunst isn’t an elite GM but he’s well above average. His reluctance to improve the team at the trade deadline will always irk me and he’s had some poor draft choices over his tenure, but he’s also done a lot of good for this team as well. Every Packers fan, including myself was irate that he shipped out Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise to get to where we are now. Hiring Matt Lafleur was also a move a lot of people saw as questionable at the time but he’s proven to be a very good Head Coach. Has also made some excellent draft picks such as Jaire Alexander, Rashan Gary, Elgton Jenkins, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Evan Williams and more. Has also made some great decisions in free agency with Xavier McKinney, Josh Jacobs, Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith and Adrian Amos. Again he isn’t an elite GM but he’s easily better than about two thirds of NFL
I feel like a lot of people were absolutely shitting on Gute during this time too. We just traded Rodgers/we’re in the talks of trading Rodgers and everyone thought we were dumbasses for it. Pat has come out many of times being fond of Gute and admitting he was wrong.
Pat owned up to it, to be fair.
Also I really don’t understand the hate he gets for some reason. Not everybody’s cup of tea, sure, but like… I feel like a lot of folks spend so much energy shitting on him when his show is just dudes talking with dudes about sports. Blame ESPN if it isn’t journalistic enough.
