  1. Maxey challenged Embiid to be on time to team activities, calling out the 2022-23 league MVP about being late “for everything” and how it impacts the locker room, from other players to the coaching staff, sources briefed on the meeting told ESPN.

    >[Embiid is one of the worst leaders I’ve ever seen.](https://np.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1co1t49/simple_question_would_you_rather_have_brunson_or/l3azqop/?context=3)

    >> You in the locker room?

    >> you’ve literally never seen any of these basketball players lead in your life

    >> You’ve never been in the locker room Fartacus💀

    >> Ohhh wow, u/AgadorFartacus said it so it must be true.

  2. What’s up with the mods deleting all the posts where it says that Embiid was always late to practice and meetings?

  3. Seriously why they keep deleting this post?

Edit: apparently its bcz these posts titles weren’t matching Shams tweet, he didn’t mention Maxey so its considered a violation to the posting rules

  4. Lol aren’t these meetings supposed to have some element of privacy? Instead there is an ESPN exposé.

  5. Good to see Embiid finally be called out on his bullshit. You can’t constantly point the finger or evade criticism without having to look in the mirror yourself. Now that they’re losing, they’re finally being honest.

  6. Oh boy. It’s my favorite part of the season. Its always one team who just completely breaks the fuck down and starts hating each other. Congrats 76ers. This year, its you! Trust the process

  7. Why can’t my team just have a normal season? Joel, Harden, Simmons, Bridges, Fultz, Colangelo, Bynum. This team needs to fuck off. He can’t be traded until July and I have a feeling his ego is too fragile to face criticism from Philadelphia that he will request a trade.

  8. This is when seasons reach an inflection point. Does this team start playing selfishly and fall apart or does this team come together after a team meeting and pick up the effort and even if it’s out of anger, start playing with more force. Nick Nurse is not a good coach for situations like these either. He’s not someone who will calm a tenuous situation.

  9. Sixers finally gets rid of Tobias Harris only for the team to break down and start hating each other. What if Harris was the glue guy all along?

  10. So I guess the 76ers are just completely imploding at this point. Maybe there was hope when we all thought they were just dealing with being crapped on by the public, but when the dynamics between players unravel behind the scenes, it’s over.

If the record is looking like 4-16 or worse in the coming weeks, it’s time to tank for real.

  11. Nick Nurse yelled, “Here we go!” Paul George gave a look of pleasant disgust. Joel Embiid belted, “We got a fucking back to back now.” And before Tyrese Maxey hit the locker room door, ex-NBA star Kyle Lowry hugged him & said, “Y’all look so different.”

  12. Damn didnt know Jared McCain had it in him to complain about the 2nd best player on his team not doing his job.

  13. I mean, when you spend an entire decade purposefully losing to a degree unheard of in league history and try to convince everyone else they’re idiots if they don’t see the overall goal (“The Process” if you will)…..you shouldn’t be surprised that your star player has a loser mentality ingrained in him since he’s been in the league.

Embiid doesn’t gaf about the game because the entire org has told him since he’s been a part of it that games literally don’t matter.

Meanwhile, other teams have remained contenders and even won chips without purposefully tanking/losing to the degree the Sixers have which is the hilarious/sad/pathetic part.

  14. Jimmy Butler called it right when he said this team doesn’t want to take winning seriously. I still remember making a comment here and getting downvotes for it saying the Sixers should trade Embiid and build around Tyrese Maxey. I’m of an even firmer mind of it now. Embiid is 31, has yet to even make it out of the 2nd round, never played a 70 game regular season, and lackadaisical approach to the game is actively hurting this team. Maxey has had a stronger will to win than Embiid ever has, and there’s been excerpts from others dating back as far as 2015 showing how little Embiid cares about his conduct. Combine this with an older Paul George and it’s just a recipe for disaster to keep him here.
