I LOVED that game, they were physical, they were chippy, they worked their asses off and they forechecked hard. Kakko playing with an edge is exactly what his game needs on that third line to compliment Cuylle. If they work hard and play like pricks every game there’s enough skill where that line could truly be deadly. Also Mika had a great game, loved the effort to force the turnover on the Kreider goal. Fox was also phenomenal. Trouba and Lindgren are a problem for us but there was way too much good shit that happened tonight to complain about them right now.
That was probably the best we’ve played in a month
Mika looked like his old self consistently for the first time in over a year. I hope he is about to turn things around
Zibby looked like his old self, Brodz is more than serviceable, and Cuylle may be a generational player for this team.

I absolutely loved this game, gritty in the best of ways. played like a whole ass team tonight I hope I have the best dreams about it
Zac Jones is awesome and he needs more playing time.
Cuylle continues to justify being a future jersey purchase (please lock him up after this year)

This team is good. It’s the awful rotations at the end (among other times) that worry me. They are so obviously bad decisions from Lav that I don’t know how they don’t come back to bite us later in the year.

But then again, if you split them up we’re infecting and ruining Fox and Miller across 2 different bad pairs.

That’s are some brutal stats for 55-8 but I’m ready to die on this hill; Trouba is playing very good, but is dragged down by Linda. I wish Lindgren would be sat for the next game, with Mancinx in his stead.

I can’t get over Igor tackling Garland and holding his leg😂😂😂I laughed so hard that I spilled coffee in to my bed. And then coming on him at the end of the game 😂
And by the end of the game Igor made some saves that made up for the softies let in.
Favorite play of the game? That sick glove-less stick-less by Silovs!

Kakko opened it up. Stepped it. Left snickers, pizza, newspapers all over the floor. Spray painted “Kakko Was here” stepped out. Opened it up again and left it wide open to let everyone know that Kakko was there!

Kakko and Cuylle looked great tonight. Fox played very good, Mika played well. Cant complain a whole lot other than the one D pairing and coaching
of course Miller/Fox were good, of course Jones/Schneider were good, of course Cuylle/Kakko were good, of course Brodzinski was good. NYR played a very good game overall
the only blips came with the same D pair on the ice. remains insane that Lindgren/Trouba played more at 5v5 than any other NYR D pair and were also on the ice defending empty net despite being on for (and the causes of) all 3 GAs in this game. I guess the only way for Jones/Schneider to earn more TOI is to give up goals? somehow is the case for Lindgren/Trouba so i’m unsure at this point
but lots of good in this game, especially Miller/Fox, one of their best of the season, arguably Fox’s best game overall

Lindgren Trouba directly responsible for first three goals against is comical. But sitting the third pair instead. And then putting them back out in the last minute. They were terrible today. It literally seems like the ice tilts towards Igor when they get on.
