  1. Keyonte George was the story of this game. He had a rough October, but he’s played phenomenal this month, I’m glad I wasn’t that critical on him

Send Cody to the G League, and give Brice those minutes, reduce Clarksons minutes, even bench him if he continues these awful shot attempts

Glad the Raptors won last night, as we are 1 loss behind to catching up with them in the tank for Flagg

  2. Jazz may very well have won this game had they shot their normal % from 3. I’m actually encouraged and happy with this one. They generated good offense after the first quarter. First quarter was awful but they generated good shots after that and cut down on the turnovers, or at least it felt like they did, not watching the box score. Shooting variance did them in.

  3. I only caught the last quarter, but it seemed like Flip was smothering AR on defense. Even if it’s a smaller guy, that’s nice to see from someone who had that as a question mark on their draft profile. Keyonte getting hot was also good to see, Knecht just happens to be a baller.

  4. Awesome 4th quarter. To say anything positive about the first 3 is madness. (Unless it’s just rooting for the tank, then go on playa)

  5. I said it on the other thread but not sure Brice is benefited by being banished from the rotation. Either play him here or send him down. He shouldn’t be sitting. Clarkson isn’t playing well enough for the amount of reps and minutes he gets and it is not a coincidence they made a run when his ass was on the bench.

Once Walker returns they gotta figure some things out rotation wise. The bench unit is killing this team every game. The starters often come out slow, but they’re figuring things out as a unit and starting to blend.

Filip didn’t have a good game defensively by the numbers but it was less what he did wrong and more AD/Bron being what they are. He moves his feet well and anticipates. He did pretty well containing Reaves indeed. He’s got some solid switchability in him.

Collier’s turnovers are a big problem…think he needs to be paired with one of Sexton or Keyonte at all times. For their shooting but also having another ballhandler out there with him.

  6. Okay that comment was ice cold from coach. “Everyone in the gym knew Dalton was going to shoot except a few people, those people were on our team…”

  7. Dalton was my guy in the draft but Cody is still the guy I would’ve gone with despite the hate Cody has gotten.

We knew Cody would take a long time to develop. They have a plan for him and in his prime he will be a fantastic two way piece. Careers are long

  8. Good experience for the young guys to play against Lebron and AD. Fought till the end like usual, not losing by 40 like the Pelicans. Here’s my thoughts on the guys.

Lauri – Nice game, 25 and 8 while being efficient. Back looks good and he’s moving well so it’s nice to see.

Kyle – Struggled to score, AD being inside makes it tough. Few passes which didn’t work and resulted in turnovers but still had 6 assists. 25 valuable minutes of learning for him as he guarded Lebron sometimes and AD on other occasions, only -3 when he was on.

John – 18 and 8, productive again. Tough matchup and had 5 fouls but competed hard as usual. I predict his numbers will be similar even when Walker comes back because he will get to feast against opposing bench bigs rather than starters.

Collin – Some really frustrating and dumb turnovers today but still played decent overall. 19 and 4, you know what you’re getting from him on a nightly basis. I only heard the commentators say young bull once all game, which was refreshing. +5 on the court.

Keyonte – Really frustrated with his lack of aggressiveness in the first half, but second half he turned it on and finished with 18 and 6. My main focus for him would be to be more consistent (hardest thing for a young player), by taking shots and playing hard defense, whilst being locked in on every play. Sometimes it looks like he’s going through the motions out there and that’s what annoys me the most. Best thing is it looks like he’s out of his early terrible shooting slump.

Jordan – 18 and 2 against his former team. Wasn’t as efficient as he would’ve liked but we need his bench scoring punch. Few shots that normally would’ve gone it but it wasn’t to be.

Isaiah – Way too turnover prone. 4 turnovers as the backup PG just ain’t good enough. -12 on the court in 20 minutes. Don’t want him taking 3 threes a game at the moment, get inside and drop it off to a big or take a mid range shot. There are some positives for sure in his game, hopefully he learns quickly.

Drew – 8 and 8 in 19 minutes, +1 on the court. Did his normal thing.

Cody – Really poor minutes from him, not recognizing Dalton had the hot hand and leaving him open or being late to contest so many times is just really unacceptable. I thought he had better defensive instincts than that, particularly watching his 1 on 1 defense which is quite good (using length, moving feet). Only got 8 minutes, reflective of his play tonight – could be a chance for an elevation in Juzang’s minutes and Sensabaugh to get another chance at Cody’s minutes.

Johnny – Not shooting the 3 well recently but a much better stint on the court today, earning more playing time. +13 in 15 minutes, also had a chicken wing into Lebron’s face to pick up an offensive rebound and straight away shoot a middy which went in. Hope to see his 3 ball come back quickly.

Coach Hardy – Like how the guys competed till the end and he kept chipping away at the lead to close the margin. Maybe a timeout would’ve been good during Dalton’s shooting but he chose not to. Really good to see a lot of inexperienced guys get a lot of minutes, showing a lot of trust and belief in the roster.

Onto San Antonio again, who picked up a huge win against the Thunder. Can we win against them again? Find out next on………………………

  9. The perimeter defense was good in the 4th and a trainwreck the first three quarters so we know this isn’t about ability, it’s about effort and focus. And they’re all responsible to some degree, including the vets.
