Don't give up hope until it's over over. We have an 87% chance of making playoffs. We have a 3% chance of winning the Super Bowl. In football, Miracles DO happen.

I believe it's possible for Rule and Judon and the Defensive crew to turn this pass rush around THIS season. I believe it's possible for the entire defensive unit to become a top 5 defense if that happens. I believe this team has the potential to win it all.

I believe in this QB and offensive roster. I believe they can really have no weaknesses and are just in a rut for the past 2 games. I believe that they are capable of putting up a lot of points and critically running the ball in chew clock mode.

  1. Delusional, but I’m here for it lol. I don’t see the defense getting any better though… We will likely make the playoffs and anything can happen then.

    Because the fan base accepts and is happy about mediocrity.

    I remember a time when a playoff bearth was expected, not hoped for. I remember a time when we expected excellence and not excuses.

    I remember a time when we didn’t think we were good. We *knew* we were great.

    Lets go back to a time when we could support the team and head office without doubt. Not because we accept mediocrity, but because we believe in our greatness.

  14. I like this posting.

    For many years, even deservedly, many fans are chomping at the bit to:

    * Hate the coach and demand the other guy.
    * Hate the owner and demand a sale.
    * Hate the QB and demand the back up.
    * Hate the draft picks and demand trades.
    * Hate fans that still like the Falcons and demand they also piss vinegar and eat it with Cheerios.

    But I’ve seen all of these over the course of two weeks and two really bad losses. Injuries are not an excuse. Playmaking and scheme is not an excuse. Execution is not an excuse.

    But y’all remember: 31 teams will not win the Super Bowl. So far, Lamar and Josh both haven’t ever won their conference. The very hot Lions are yet to be proven. There are other places you could be to experience joy instead of wallowing and telling the rest of us that we’re on copium.

    Not with this defense. Even if the offense is on fire the lack of pass rush wouldn’t give me much hope for except maybe one win in the playoffs, *maybe*

  22. I used to have arguments with a former boss. She thought Ted Lasso was so inspiring and, “it just shows what you can accomplish when you focus on the positive and really believe.”

    I mentioned, “Yeah, it’s a really great message, and must have been fun to write, but it’s also fiction, so it makes more sense to take it as aspiration than truth.”

    Yes, I am fun at parties.

    Ironically, she was incredibly fake nice and would talk about my coworkers behind their backs constantly. Anyway, once I realized she couldn’t separate fact from fiction I started looked for a new job.
