  1. I always try to remember that 98% of this sub knows as much as McAffee and I take that into consideration when reading the comments lol

  2. I remember enjoying his Tuesday segments with Rodgers so much in 2019. It was such a good place for us to hear more from our franchise QB that got such a bad rap over his career. He was funny, charismatic, him and AJ were hilarious. Then 2020 happened and, yeah, this about sums it up.

  3. I like Pat but his Aaron Rodgers fanboying really made him bias against our entire organization.

  4. Reminder Gute signed a backup QB this off season that has one less win than Rodgers and has played in nine less games. (Also if we wanna count the half game as a win he has the same amount)

  5. McAfee was never my cup of tea but he didn’t bother me, until this happened. Dude comes off as a huge piece of shit.

  6. You got to admit, McAfee is a bit biased toward Rodgers. Let’s see what happens next year on Tuesdays, there is no way he is going to book an unemployed ex QB who didn’t retire but was unwanted by 30 other football teams.

  7. Why’s he so sure Douglas is a genius negotiator? What did he do before the Rodgers trade (that turned into a disaster) to warrant him saying this?

  8. Pat was fairly insufferable with this take at the time because he like many fans think that going all in is always the best play because they think it works like it did with the Rams when in reality it often looks like what the Jets did.

We also have to take into account that at this point Joe Douglas had like two bad/mediocre drafts but this was in March 2023 and he was coming off the 2022 season when his first two draft picks of the 2022 draft won OROY and DROY so the love for Joe Douglas was high even if he whiffed massively on Zach Wilson.

Ultimately this is Pat going to bat for Aaron to stay in his good graces for his show’s sake. However, today Pat has said that he was absolutely wrong about the Packers situation and how we have the drastically better situation both now and over the next 5+ years. I hated the Gute bashing then because people hated his picks and the lack of all in media moves but to some extent I think there was room for SOME criticism of the handling of the situation and just like then, despite Gute having us in a far better position than the jets now I still think it’s fair to critique some of his choices such as the Quay and Stokes and maybe LVM picks but then you also weigh out the choices to bring in guys like X and Jacobs and draft guys like Watson, Doubs, Reed, Kraft, Cooper, Bullard, Williams, Tom, etc and it’s obvious that Gute, while far from perfect, has a smart approach to team building that has been evident from the beginning from a process standpoint it’s just that not every move works out and that’s just reality but when your process has this many hits it means you’re doing something right.

  9. McAfee also says his take was completely wrong about Gutekunst, Douglas and Love, (never out loud says he was wrong about Rodgers but it is clearly insinuated) nearly daily on his show. He said it at least once an hour today.

Find me another talking head that admits they were very loud and very wrong as often as Pat does.

  10. Dude I’m a 49ers fan…. and Packers won every deal mentioned here. I’ve always thought Pat was an idiot, I never saw this video and it only compounds it.

  11. Yall don’t realize that Pat ALWAYS plays devils advocate? He literally just wants people he’s interviewing to think about the opposite thought of what they normally think? These responses in this thread are wild af and show that yall don’t actually watch the show.
