  1. Late first round picks aren’t as valuable as people make it out to be. If I’m trading Xhekaj it’s for someone of similar age who helps us now not a likely middle 6 or middle pairing guy who is having an impact in 3-5 years. That’s if you even get an nhler with the pick.

  2. I think Philly is a good guess. His name has been thrown around with Philly being interested and we had a late 1rst rounder last draft that we eventfully swapped for Edmonton's first in this 2025 draft.

  3. There's a reason why teams are making such offers for Xhekaj. Players like this don't grow on trees, sure he isn't a Norris contender but his physical presence is essential for a team like Montreal, it's what other teams are seeking. This player is the kind of guy you want in the playoffs for a deep run.

  4. A late 1st round only has a 40% chance of making the show. Wifi is here now and will be for a while, he is AWESOME and only getting better. You say that MTL are insaine for not making this trade. Shake your head, bro. When everyone wants your guy…he obviously holds a lot of value. Rember the Lecalvier story in Tampa. He is very good and gonna be great…(and) at that price??? Everyone else is shopping at Lablaws paying $100 for a steak. The Habs are at Walmart paying $30 for the same steak. Wifi wants to eat that Walmart $30 steak. He wants to be a Hab. Bless you Sheriff!!! Do you not think that Xhekaj could be a beast on a Stanley Cup contender??? Do not be blind, we need him. Marty is just showing tough LOVE. Habs Forever!

  5. Pretty simple to me. XHEKAJ is valuable. First off if it was me he would be on the pp. forget his toughness for a min. He has a cannon for a shot. pair he with lane hudson on the pp. hudson feeds him the puck. other players goal for rebounds. he will strike fear in the goalies he faces. 7 goals his first year.

  6. You keep saying how the Habs have a bunch of other D, but none of them bring what Xhekaj brings. Especially on a team that currently doesn't have much toughness. Give me Xhekaj over a late 1st any day.

  7. I am glad we stuck with him. I personally can't wait for him and his younger brother to be on the team together. For years we have said the Habs lacked size, grit and toughness. We get it with the Xhekaj brothers. Plus they are both evolving into solid players who their teammates love. What they bring to the room alone is worth more than a couple of late round draft picks.

  8. Xhekaj is a possible Reaves 2.0 because he is a defenceman. But he will only be what Montreal does with him and it's not happened at all. Guy needs to work on speed and major major defensive improvements and a ton of patience on when to loose his temper. He is still young but unless he cools it and becomes defensive sound he either becomes a 4th line forward or he is going to fall off and that's on Montreal.

  9. Detroit Red Wings dream scenario leading up to their future line-up 2029-2030 est:

Detroit during the 2024-2025 season unfortunately are out of the playoffs by the deadline. Yzerman trades Patrick Kane (50% retained) and Eric Gustavsson to New Jersey Devils for Anton Silayev and Brendan Dillon (cap dump). Detroit has a terrible season and ends up drafting 3rd overall in the NHL 2025 1st round draft. Yzerman drafts Michael Misa at 3rd overall.

    Detroit Red Wings 2029-2030 line-up:

    Kasper Misa Raymond
    Mazur Larkin Buchelnikov
    Lombardi Danielson MBN
    Finnie Plante Kiiskinen
    N.D.Nilsson

    Edvidsson Seider
    Silayev ASP
    Buium Tuomisto
    Wallinder

    Cossa
    Augustine
