Pewter Pulse: Can Safety MIKE EDWARDS Be A Spark For Bucs Secondary?

Can the return of Tampa Bay safety Mike Edwards provide a spark for the Bucs secondary? Edwards has proven to be a ballhawk and could end the Bucs’ interception drought, which is now at four games. Scott Reynolds addresses Edwards’ return to Tampa Bay in a NEW Pewter Pulse video.

  1. Praying Ball Hawk Mike can spark something in the secondary, haven't seen a pick in what seems, forever. Any kind of turnover would help. Winfield, Whitehead and Edwards are back together and hopefully Dean can stay healthy for more than a week and get our DBs going again. We will find out Sunday against the Giants and Devito. LFG

  2. Good night your ability to cherry pick stats on Jordan Whitehead is outrageous. The dude can only do so much when the ILB’s are unable to protect the middle of the field. Stop acting like Whitehead is bad. The whole defense is bad. When the ILB’s played well at the beginning of the season, look at Whitehead’s stats. It’s not all on Whitehead. Both him and Winfield are struggling because they have to worry about Britt and these backup CB’s getting beat so quickly.

  3. Mr. Reynolds, I've been a Bucs fan for 48 years and counting, since I was 10yrs old in 1976. I fell in love with the creamsicle color uniforms and that is all it took to get me hooked! I'm a Buc for life!

  4. Dear Scott, Can you help me understand why NO moves were made specifically on the defensive side prior to the second Atlanta game? Surely the front office knew they had to have that game and did absolutely nothing?! Cornerback and linebacker help was and still is a big giant need. Instead we went with the water boy and the guy cooking the hotdogs!? Make it make sense? The fact that they were gonna play Atlanta on a short week and that’s why they didn’t make a move is a sorry excuse for the front office.

  5. Again the defense is playing bad. Is it the players or the plays or is it coming from how they are coach at pratice or in the game? We either have players that have slipped every year since the super bowl. Or the coaching has slipped. Could have faultt on both sides. But id error on the side of the coaching.

  6. I have said this quite a few times. The defense doesnt look ready for a whole game. So conditioning is a factor in this as well. And overtime well at least they kept SF to a FG. Much better than the 2 previous OTs td. Still the team lioks gassed in the 4th quarter not to mention the 2nd quarter. Looks like we need 3 halftimes the beginning looks good. 3rd quarter looks good just the 2nd and 4th quarters look pathetic. What happens when you get tired? Mental errors happen. And this is exactally what is happening. So conditioning is the big factor here. Same can be said about the muscle pulls. Hamstrings etc.
