Top-5 pass catchers in ASS (Average Seperation Score) on horizontally breaking routes: #4: Romeo Doubs

  1. I’m not going to pretend that ASS is a metric that has any meaning, but Romeo’s route running this season has been really good. MLF talked in the offseason about how Romeo had been working with the coaches on his stride length going into his breaks and you can see that work has paid off. He’s able to break down much better now and make crisp cuts, which creates separation.

Funnily enough, drops have been Doubs’s biggest issue this year, after this sub spent all offseason talking up his hands. A couple fewer drops and he’d be having a stellar season.

  2. This is not a call out of Doubs more so these statistics being thrown around. Same thing with the Watson post earlier. It sure seems like you can find advanced statistics to make any decent player sound extraordinary. Watson and Doubs are good, but they have not shown to be elite players at their position. This subreddit will make you think we are filled with all-pros because the homer-ism taking place.

  3. It’s crazy how you can cherry pick different stats for Reed, Wicks, Doubs, and Watson to be top 5 in something in the league. We have got a sick group of guys
