  1. Clippers fan here. Cam Thomas story on Nets YouTube popped up as recommended for me.

Just wanted to say this was a great watch and I wish more teams made this sort of content on their players. Cam also seems like a humble dude, I wish him all the best.

  2. Marks might be able to get his asking prices on CJ, DFS, and Schroeder at this point.

Hopefully, when Bojan comes back we can clear some minutes for him to pump up that trade value as well.

  3. So what are we saying boys & girls? 6 firsts for CJ, 3 DFS & 2 for Dennis – going off the Mikal trade obviously – but fr the way our vets (minus Simmons) are playing their prices are continuing to rise.

Dennis, obviously expiring makes it difficult to gauge his price. A championship team would love to have him as a floor general for the second unit you’d imagine, or somewhere like Miami where he’d be an upgrade on Rozier and fits the whole Lowry left. I’d also not be against just keeping him as we play better with him on the floor and CT seems to benefit from playing along side him.

DFS is an interesting one. Shooting above his average from three this year at 5 attempts a game, can defend 2-5 and can play at 5 for small ball line ups. With 2 years left on his deal and a team friendly contract where would you value him at. Every contender would love to have him but honestly the best fit might be back to the Mavs where he’s an upgrade on both PJ & Naji Marshall imo; wouldn’t do anything less than a late first at this rate as we’re in a strong negotiating position and Hornets & Wizards got firsts last season for PJ, Rozier & Gafford.

Now, CJ. The contract is neither bad nor good, he’s streaky no doubt. But t-shirt man has been a bucket from three recently (minus the game against the Knicks) he’s also a net positive on defense with championship experience. He’d fit perfectly on the Nuggets, Cavs, Pacers or Magic. Did the Mikal trade set a precedent? I doubt it, two bad 1st round picks or a high first (OKC has the 76ers pick but they don’t need CJ as much as other contenders).

Would love to hear some opinions, a lot to be optimistic about and i’m loving these wins, but perhaps it’s time Sean pulls the rug out from underneath with trades for these vets. Ziaire, Wilson & Clowney all look like real NBA players but will not push more that 30/33 wins i’d imagine.
