  1. No room for divas Chuck. Bohm is a diva. Ask the Phillies fans. And besides, if we are to trade away Williams it should be out of the league like KC or Texas. Admittedly I don’t know who their third basemen are. Or possibly it would involve a third team.

  2. I was surprised that Skenes fell 30 innings short of counting for ERA title. That sub 2.00 ERA was the difference in rookie voting. I'd find a place on my team for any of the top 3 finishers.

  7. Chuck really showing his "old school" bias towards starting pitchers with that idea of trading Jackson for Paul. Even if you ignore the contract/team control, pitchers are almost a lock to get hurt with the way pitching is now. They go max effort every pitch and are very likely to endup with Tommy John or other arm issues. You can't predict the future, and both teams are really happy to have their guys, but look at how both the Dodgers and Brewers navigated this year without traditional lockdown guys in the starting rotation. What you need is the big at bats and for the Brewers they work in the great defense as well.

  8. It's an interesting question, but I wouldn't be in favor of of trading Churio for Skenes because of the injury risk for pitchers. It's probably only a matter of time before Skenes lands on the DL, while Churio has upside potential. I suspect Skenes is at or near his peak performance.

  9. Chuck hopes the Brewers acquire a third baseman that can hit 30 home runs. Considering only two third basemen in all of MLB hit 30 home runs last season, he might need to temper those hopes a bit. Heck, only 10 hit 20 or more home runs.

  11. Baseball need to fix the financial area of the game and fans need to understand that baseball is a business. We have only how much funds that Mark decided to spend. I think the TV opportunity that they have will be interesting and could help us in the long run. Chuck, you have this opportunity to educate fans this off season on the business of baseball, consider of doing one show a week on this topic.
