  1. 2 thoughts I’ve been having that were cemented this game:

Stephenson is a great pick up and worth his contract. He plays big minutes and is near the top of the team in points. His skating style is relaxed and looks like he’s not trying and I think that gives him a bit of undeserved flak. He makes us better and is one of our top 3 forwards.

Grubauer doesn’t get the goal support but I don’t think it’s luck. Joey moves the puck so well it limits the amount they get hemmed in, helps the breakout, and lets the team be more offensively focused.

    Great win. Great homestand.

  2. If I had a nickel for every time Joey got a 3-0 shutout on a TNT broadcast I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it fucking rules that it has happened twice

  3. Well *his groins aren’t killing him*, because…

**For the first time in the 24/25 season, and for the first time in 225 days…**

#IT LOOKS LIKE 1.00 IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS AND GIRLS!!!

    Chef Joey is ✨THAT CHEF✨

  5. Game thoughts and notes!

    * Huge to bounce back like this with a complete 60 minute effort after the tough loss vs the rangers. We know the kraken are not an elite team, but if they consistently win games like this they will be a solid playoff team.
    * This makes 5 wins in their last 6 games with a very winnable schedule upcoming – at LA and then hame-and-home pairs against the Ducks and Sharks. Winning 4 of those should be expected and winning all 5 is possible. LA is a good team but I don’t think they are so much better than the Kraken they couldn’t steal a road W.
    * Great performance by both goalies tonight despite tons of chances for both teams. Daccord held strong with some help from the posts but made great saves as well.
    * Burakovsky had his best game I can remember this season and probably stretching back to most of last season. Dude was all over the ice in the offensive zone and had multiple excellent scoring chances. Dare I even say that maybe we’ve found a line he clicks with???
    * Stephenson with a big 2 primary assist + a secondary on the ENG night and Montour with a goal and an assist. Along with Sprong, a good night for recent Ron Francis acquisitions – plus more data showing his commitment to Daccord was the right move
    * I imagine Grubauer crying inside on the bench watching Daccord get all of this offensive support

  6. Every time Joey Daccord has a shutout win, my wife excuses herself to take a shower. She’s been in there for a long time. I don’t know what’s taking her so long, but it’s giving me time to masturbate to Joey Daccord.

  7. I’m so sad I didn’t get to watch this game (listened on radio), especially as the first Joey shutout I didn’t watch in person. But sounded like a fantastic game and I’m looking forward to watching the highlights!

  8. Dammit TNT! I’d rather see the 3 stars yeet the fish instead of watching a low energy analysis of why the Predators aren’t scoring.

  9. What a great home stand! 10 points and some fun hockey to watch. Even our loss to the Rangers we played pretty well.

  10. Shoutout to Jess Campbell for catching the incorrect starting lineup! I’ve never seen that before!

Bob Condor had an article a few days ago about line changes, linked below. Check out the following passage:

    >Bylsma calls out the forward line shifts as a head coach, a practice that dates back to his first NHL season when he led Pittsburgh to the 2009 Stanley Cup and throughout his six winning seasons guiding the Penguins. Assistant coach Bob Woods takes charge of the defensive pairs. **Assistant coaches Dave Lowry and Jessica Campbell keep their eyes on opponent shifts and relevant time on ice**, plus get involved with Kraken personnel during penalty kills (Lowry) and power plays (Woods and Campbell). It is most decidedly a team effort.

  11. Man the standings are sooo close in the West. Wins wise everyone has 10 or 11 wins. Its only that losses that separates most of the pack. Almost mimicing the Seahawks record. Hahaha

  12. I’m very happy with 10/12 possible points on this homestand. Lets keep up the energy on our California road trip!

  13. Was so weird how the arena emptied out with about seven minutes left. Wonder if a lot of folks were monorail and light rail and the weather/late start meant being to have early.

A shame it wasn’t as packed as it was earlier in the night to celebrate the shut out.
