Maybe I’m overthinking it, but it definitely sounds like he’s throwing some minor shade at the coaching staff aka Slowick, which is more than fair criticism
I feel like these meetings have been less about the staff and more about some of the players on the team that just refuse to be motivated and play hard. You can tell when someone is put in a shit position, but tries to make a play (CJ on countless 3rd and 10+) and someone that’s just not even trying despite what’s called (Tunsil on rushing plays and Howard half the time).
He’s very similar to Fred Van Fleet for the Rockets. Great veteran presence that shows young bucks how to be a true professional within the sport. Few years down the line we could be pointing to his signing as a turning point in Texans franchise history
Off topic – what Texans hat is he wearing?
Completely deserving of the C he’s wearing these days, this is the exact type of dude you want in the locker room.
You can’t put a price on this level of leadership. People were crying pretty hard when Nick gave him that new contract but he’s been worth every penny and then some.
He needs a ring!!
Wait, this sub said the team meeting was an omen of doom?
Man the second half was just as sucky on offense as all the other games. We had good field position several times and got what ten points on offense? Against a gassed cowboy defense. Come on man.
I think something is wrong with CJs elbow or shoulder. He doesn’t pick the wrong receiver he just doesn’t make accurate throws and it gets worse in the second half. We will have to wait until the end of the season to find out though.
I feel like players only meeting doesn’t have any weight against a team that’s not even close to .500. Only two games left that matter where I wonder if the obvious issues will be brought up…
