  1. Early tanking. cant lift off too fast now. Also doesnt hurt to rest em and make sure nothing nags them going forward.

  2. Huge bummer to see Dev back on the injury report w knee soreness, especially considering he’s barely played this season

  3. Wemby and Collins out means more Bassey minutes! Was loving the connection between Castle and Bassey against OKC, love to see it some more!

  4. I was defending vassell being injury prone for forever convinced that not all but some of the times he was out before were a result of the team being non competitive and tanking (especially the season before we got wemby) but mannnnn i dunno anymore

  5. It’s the same knee that he had to do arthroscopic surgery on 2 seasons ago after being out for a few games due to soreness.

That being said, we should take the coaching staff at their words for now and really hope that this is just from him not playing competitive basketball for 7 months.

  6. Reminder: Last night Mitch Johnson told us the injuries to Wemby and Vassell were minor and the team is choosing to be cautious.

So basically the Spurs just being the Spurs when it comes to injuries.

  7. From one of the french reporters (@MaximeAubin1): Victor is fine, if it were up to him he would play but the team is being cautious and wanted to give him some more rest.

  8. It’s very early in the season, give em a chance to get 100% right even if it takes a few extra games. They’ll come back better for it

  9. I get it, but man it would be shitty to have to look back at the end of the year and realize that they lost two home games to the freakin Jazz.

  10. Who knows? We beat them when they weren’t healthy, they beat us when they were healthy so let’s see what happens if we’re not healthy.

  11. So if Zach Collins is also out who takes his place? I know it’s Wemby primary, Collins backup, Bassey third string, but there’s no way Bassey would physically be able to play all 48 minues, and we wouldn’t want him to anyway; he needs some break time and god knows we don’t need him injured too.

  12. I’m gonna guess the unexpected win gets OKC bought them another game of rest. Utah is very winnable either way if we can not turn the ball over so much

  13. Eh, I think it makes sense. The season is still young. 15 games into the season, it doesn’t make sense to have these guys play with any lingering injuries this early, especially on the homestretch where the bench usually plays better at home. If they play like they did against the Thunder, this is certainly a winnable game against the jazz

  14. Busy next week of games every other day. I expect this is just one extra game of rest for them rather than rushing them back out on the court. Let the Rook shine

  15. This injury report looks like a M.A.S.H. unit!! I know Wemby better be back in that lineup soon or the Spurs will be getting a phone call from Adam Silver.

  16. As much as we want to see these guys, this season is also a test of who can be those rotation and bench pieces going forward in the current setup. We know who the main guys will be for the future core. This is a good time to give these guys serious minutes
