Let's be real, our Vikes are not a SB team this year. The boys see it. Just enjoy this year for what it is.
Maybe the "run for the love of the game" making oline man eligible just so they can block down field is gonna be the loop hole to stop some guys from getting illegal man down field penalties
14:32 Brock Wright was sent to block the safety so there’s no backside pursuit. Ben Johnson is a genius
Classic whooping great job fellas gooo lions 🦁🍖🦁💯💯💯
Boone dimming the lights on Lions- love u Boone❤❤
On the Williams TD, the Tight End has the job of running 40 yards to block the safety…
That first Jamo play would have been a TD if St. Brown hadn't overrun his block down field. Brock Wright did the same thing on the hook and lateral. Ran past the block that allowed the tackler to get into cut it off. Brock had a few plays where if LaPorta was in the plays would have been more successful. Lions run plays out of similar formations so formations are not much of a problem as far as giving plays away. They even ran the exact same play formation as the hook and lateral but ran a different play that resulted in St. Brown's 1st TD. That was the called play minus the lateral part.

Goff threw 5 pics and they still won so that didn't work 😂
just found ya'll det fan.
we will get our first team back next year.
Go Lions 🦁
You guys have literally changed how I watch football. Loving it.
You guys keep putting out Lions breakdowns, and I will keep watching it. It’s very entertaining and informative. Thanks guys!

The other thing about the trick plays, is your assuming that these sort of well-known trick plays are the only ones Ben Johnson is thinking about.
That seems kind of crazy to me.
In fact, I wouldn't put it past the guy to be using the trick plays in the season to set up a DoubleTree play or something else that will take advantage of the fact that teams practiced for these things.
Also it's psychological warfare: it asked the question, can anybody else execute things like this? If you can't, what makes you think you can take us? Because we can do these sorts of trick plays all the time and actually execute them perfectly.
This year's Lions feels like the 84 Tigers
4:17 That’s #11, Kalif Raymond 😀
If Brock Wright had hit his downfield block on that hook and ladder Williams would have been gone. If you look at the play Wright doesn't EVER look back at the qb he knows the play but he flat out missed his block.
i love watching you guys break down film. especially when it’s my team beating somebody down
Great work, Gents!
Sonic and Knuckles is a stat outlier: the stuff they are doing goes back to the 50s when no one passed. BTW-I'm pretty certain Ben J is the only OC in the league who knows the entire Van Brocklin Whirlwind Offense, and a lotta AFL stuff too
I still have the curtains down, gf is at work….soooo goooood….
14:58 "this is called running for the love of the game."
Great stuff !!!!!
4:45 that's Kaliff Raymond #11
Both the 2nd and 3rd string tight ends have been in the lions system for a few years now.
Called me out as a lions fan now i have to like and subscribe
Awh I was waiting for yall to do the check down to Jahmyr, that’s where he really showcased his speed
Two things about the hook and ladder… you'll see more and more teams doing down the field laterals ( actual plays, not Kelce improvising) as the lions prove its effectiveness. And the reason you put on film ( same with the halfback option with Montgomery throwing to the tight end) is it PLANTS THE SEED, so now when Montgomery takes a pitch wide the line backers have to think might he throw, and when Amon Ra gets a slant they might look for a split second if theres a crosser. Its deliberately in there to mess with opposing teams minds in the future.
People like to give Ben Johnson most of the credit for how good this offense is and he certainly deserves his fair share but Campbell deserves credit for it due to his aggressive nature. People give him hell when the 4th down calls don't work but him being that aggressive opens up everything for this offense.
Once you get a fresh set of downs at your own 35 yard line as a play caller you know your coach is going for it on 4th and 2 or less so you essentially have 3 downs to get 8 yds instead of 10. This opens up the ability to try trick plays on 1st and 10 cause if it doesn't work you know you still have 3 tries to get the 1st down. Also opens up the run call on 2nd and 3rd and long knowing that you don't have to gain the full 10 yds. This completely keeps the defense off balanced and guessing the whole drive.
Most teams on 3rd and 7 or 8 it's an automatic pass but not the Lions cause they are content running it for a 3 yards and setting up a 4th and manageable. Basically how other teams treat 2nd down. Stuff like this goes unnoticed by most critics cause they just magnify the times the 4th downs don't work but if you looked at the big picture you will see that it overwhelmingly helps the Lions.
turned 30 into 1000 this game w a 5 leg on gibbs monte amonra jamo and wright anytime td
I have learned so much and laughed so hard, Im going to sign up, and look forward to more. I’m 68 years old and think I know a lot about football, but you guys got it going on. Just pointing out the whirlybird protection was really amazing, and Brock right wide open pattern had me rolling underneath the water of my hot tub.
Like how have I never seen you guys in my feed or list or whatever the hell they call it? You guys should have a contract with the NFL. Fucking outstanding!
Lions drop 52… AGAIN! There, fixed your title for you. What a team!
That was little Khalif Raymond on that crack block on the second play you guys showed.
You guys are the best as always. Great film breakdown and absolutely Hilarious.
Ayooooo 1:33 lil suspect bro
Can’t get enough of the oline porn lol.
Is there a subsection to the taunting rule that exempts twisting around and wagging your dick at a defender?
"This here is called running" lol
Right now lions are sitting alone in the top and are heavy Super Bowl favorites
Do you guys review these plays before going live or are you digesting these plays in real time on the show?
Commenting as a sacrifice to the algorithm gods
New subscriber here, love this informative, entertaining show! Go Lions!
This is what I wait for every week after a win
9:03 don't put that into the world, I'll root for Ben anywhere but the Chiefs
