Touchdowns per Red Zone trip: #21: Dolphins #26: Rams #27: 49ers #28: Packers The McDaniel-LaFleur-Shanahan-McVay crew have all had trouble scoring in the red zone this season. Weird coincidence or all these play callers are struggling in the red area.

  1. I mean it makes sense Jordan love and tua were injured for a bit. The rams in the beginning of the season looked horrible in beginning of the season due to injuries to their offense

  2. It’s also possible that these teams just aren’t that good offensively roster wise.

Tua hurt alot of the year.
    Rams wr injuries.
Niners lots of injuries with a weak OL and some aging stars.

  3. I mean my impression of shanahans scheme is that historically he’s prioritized zone rush, particularly outside zone, and as the field gets compacted that tends to not play as well. I don’t have the football IQ to know if that’s held true this year, and I guess face value it seems like he’s switched it up more this year, but it also goes to personnel, and players that excel at that maybe just don’t do as well at the brute force/power type plays that allow you to punch it into the end zone. I could be totally wrong and I’m definitely telling on myself as a casual (but rabid) football fan

  4. – consistently brain damaged quarterback
    – injured + crowned after half a season of good play
    – rebuilding + injuries
    – we all know our struggles this season

Hey I think I solved your crazy coincidence! Gd sports writers are fucking awful

  5. Well when teams hire coaches that can stop one style of offense this happens. Spags, Mcdonald, O’Donnell, set the template and teams copied. Also doesn’t help when the nfl puts in a rule to specifically to hamper the offense

  6. I guess, what that tells me is the NFL defenses figured out how to limit damage from their schemes. It’s all kind of a variation of Papa Shanahan’s offense
