Stearns doesn’t seem too interested in pitcher mega contracts. We really need an ace but I get being scared by them.
Prob bc he walks the entire stadium most starts. That’s a recipe for disaster especially with how walks killed us last year. No thanks
Something about Snell I don’t trust.
I like snell for 3 years more than burnes at 5+ years I think
i’m glad. guy is barely a starter, gives you five innings if you’re lucky. get a bonafide ace in burnes and bring manaea back.
Stearns might not be interested in Snell due to his high walk rate.
If you want a guy that will throw a 100 pitches over 5 innings while walking the park, then you can just use Tylor Megill at 1/20th the price.
I don’t want the only Cy Young Award winner to lead the league in walks. We need fewer walks as a pitching staff, not more. Plus, I don’t think Snell’s whole demeanor is a fit for New York.
Also, his mustache makes him look like a rat.
Not surprising. He’s probably staying out West. Dude has Mariner written all over him.
I feel like if Cohen and Stearns aren’t in on him then there must be something wrong with him.
