  1. lebron can’t have another ball dominant guard with him

russ wasn’t a catch and shoot player

    if lebron is the goat
he should have been the 1 adjusting 2 russ to get him comfortable instead of tryin 2 change russ game when all he’s done is have the ball in his hand

lakers made him the scapegoat and i lost my love 4 them

  2. Rondo is one of my top favorite PGs along with Jason Kidd!

Love to Russ but just like the story Jeff spoke. Russ has too many moments where it very hard to play with him!

I watched him throw away key games. All bc he tried to take over at the wrong time. Then at times doing the wrong stuff like shooting 3s when you got KD sparking. KD got the mismatch and Russ says f it and does his own thing.

I think that’s why ppl credit Jokic more bc it doesn’t looked forced. But I always said Russ is an amazing talent fr.

  3. He averaged 3 in a row. Went to the rockets averaged 27-7-7. Then went to the wizards and averaged another triple double. Didnt make the allstar team and the wizards made the playoffs after some yearsss drought and russ didnt even make the allstar team. Thats that media skip bayless effect

  4. Triple-doubles aren't easy, and not everyone can get them. But I must say Westbrook seemed to care about them more than any other player in NBA history and often literally went way out of his way to get them.

  5. Not underrated. Just clowned when he fell off, like every aging star in this generation. I remember arguing will millennials about "padding stats"–and how rebounds and assists are positive plays no matter how you get them, but they were jaded, even as he put up 28-11-11 for like the 3rd year in a row. Then this surface-level basketball news cycle comes back around when they get bored with talking about how good Jokic and Ant are, and give him flowers, only to forget what he did again the next time he goes 0-5 from 3 and it costs the team.

  6. i’m so mad he went to the lakers it was not good for him whatsoever. its crazy to even still see who he is even after that shit and wantin to still play. didnt fit they style whatsoever and the fanbase was so toxic for him and Russ jus couldn’t be himself 🤦🏿‍♂️ definitely take the heart of a soldier to go thru what he went thru n thats why buddy forever gon be in my top 3 all time

  7. Russ' motor runs so hard to shows up in every aspect in his game to almost a detriment in terms of reckless passing and poorer than average shooting for a guard in todays NBA. He puts too much on the ball when he's shooting it. He needs more soft touch and finesse which I think is just built naturally in some slower moving shooters. Motor too fast for a controlled shooter

  8. 3:40 he says “in this era of basketball” as if it’s more difficult now for someone to get a triple double…. Getting rebounds now isn’t nearly as difficult as you often see 4-5 defenders at the basket and 1 maybe 0 of the offensive players in the same area. And with assists they have given so much more leeway on what qualifies as an assist now, it’s so much easier to get the actual stats.

That’s not to take anything away from Westbrook and what he does. He’s one of my fav players to watch and I’ve been rooting for him since he got into the league. But the way that statement was made is ridiculous.
