  1. What in the world…. Look, I’m an OLD SCHOOL Redskins fan. I have the Redskins logo tattooed on my body for crying out loud. But, I don’t think it’s a good idea to go back to the old name and old logo. Despite the Chiefs clearly having no issues with their name and logo, Washington had to suffer so much because of these stupid culture wars. We had the league treating us badly, officiating was decidedly one-sided (more than ever), and the fans cried incessantly. It seemed like we were kept out of the spotlight because they didn’t want conflict in Prime Time. We lost the battle. Redskins name and logo were awesome and I will love it forever. But we have to embrace the future and let the past live in the past. We have a fresh start and bright future, I don’t see why we would tarnish it by trying to live in the past. Let’s move forward!!!

  3. the old sweaters are so much nicer. The color schemes and logo were an intricate work of art. A logo that is a 2 dimensional W is awful. I don't like the name Commanders. I understand the name change argument and maybe the logo is offensive but I do feel that maybe American natives don't need to be told what is offensive to them or not. I'm not sure they were supportive of the change. There had to be a better way to both change and honor the history. Above my pay grade but I know that whenever Washington plays the Cowboys, I want some native American motif present

  5. The logo was designed by a Native American but the name turned into a negative by racist white people and Hollywood so will never be back. When I lived in Seatlle going to different reservations to gamble I saw a lot of native high schools with that logo. Name Hell No, logo yes!

  6. Also look at this! All the people who put trademarks on names like the Braves and Natives etc. to block Dan Snyder would be more than willing to part with the names for the new ownership. I see the new name coming in conjunction with the native tribes of the country along with the logo and announcement of a new stadium being built on the site of RFK! You hear it here first!

  7. This is why DEIA is important. Ive been a fan since 81. If you maybe had more divserty on this show, you'll havw multiple perspectives. The minority mostly upset were native Americans who felt the name was historically racist. Logo is fine, but we'll never be the Skins again. Also, DC council doesnt want the name to bring the stadium in DC.

  9. What about bring back the WFT with the logo….and I was a fan since 76 but no I do not and will not support the new name…haven't even watched a nfl game since 2020

  11. Don't worry when all the old fans are dead no one will remember…..and they CANNOT claim the Redskins legacy….the SB trophies should be put in the HOF and just be the Commies if that's what they want…but the Commies never won a SB…period

  20. The Redskins logo was based on the image of a Blackfoot Chief. The Blackfoot tribe lived in Montana and had hunting grounds to the north in Canada and to the south. The Natcotchtank tribe is the original tribe that lived in the D.C. area. So the old logo represented a tribe halfway across the country from D.C.

  27. The reality is no one is offended. The Native American Guardians Association (NAGA) filed a lawsuit against the Washington Commanders in 2023, alleging that the team's name change was defamatory and conspired to erase Native American history.

  28. I'm definitely not woke but naming a team REDSKINS again is dumb. Seriously wtf. The original owner Marshall was a straight up racist no doubt about it. Not sure why that's so hard to comprehend.

  31. The only problem was the name (Red-Skin) which by the way not too many black communities and definitely zero native Americans had an issue with.. It was all non black, non native Americans talking for us putting words in our mouths and gaslighting… It was mostly national media and particularly NFC East ownership groups that had the most problems with it and they're all white, So go figure… 🤷🏽‍♂️
