I doubt CBS is letting go of that one, especially given the numbers they did with the KC game.
0% chance that CBS allows the league to flex it after the Bills/Chiefs numbers
CBS is required to have a set number of Bills game this year (as well as Chiefs game). It’s why last weeks game wasn’t flexed. If they’ve already hit that requirement the NFL can flex if they chose but if not then CBS has a stronger case to prevent it from being flexed.
I hope not. 4:25 is the real primetime
Are there contractual obligations with the media around the schedule or can the league change games as they see fit? In the grand scheme or things, having Bills-Lions on MNF is the best for the NFL and the people.
Yeah, flexed to February 9th
Flex it to February 9th.
Something to consider also is Detroit plays in Primetime (TNF) the week prior. Thus, I don’t think the league would want them to play two primetime home games back to back.
That sucks if you’re planning on going to Detroit and coming home Sunday night.
Please dear god no
Misread “flexed” as “fixed” at first and was very confused reading the article and comments
💪
If it doesn’t get flexed, do you guys think it will at least be broadly televised like the KC game was?
I read this as “fixed” and was hella confused lol
Not great for people traveling to the game! Did not realize they could flex Sunday to Monday. I thought it was only flex to Sunday night
One thing that sucks about having a good team is not having weekly 1pm sunday games
I read this as “fixed” I was like yeah they all are
I read this as “Lions Game Against Bills Could Be Fixed”…
CBS has the option to protect that game, which they certainly will do. This is a non-story.
Absolutely no chance CBS agrees to relinquish a potential Super Bowl preview. Nantz and Romo have probably already ensured they’re calling that game.
I grew up in rochester but live in Detroit, he’s coming here to go to the game with me for my birthday which is on the 11th. Would kinda suck if it gets moved, 4:30 on a Sunday was perfect
this is going to be made a prime time game 100%
I live in Cali so I would love this to be Sunday Night Football!
August 2024
Me: I need a vacation, I’ma treat myself and do a roadie. Let’s see… Hmmm it’s either Indy or Detroit. I want to be able to drive and ya, Ill do Detroit, could be fun (expensive as fuck ticket tho but who cares).
Books a sweet bed and breakfast for Saturday and Sunday steps away from the damn stadium. Takes off the following Monday to travel with little to no stress. As long as I work the previous 2 Saturdays, my weekend for the Bills Lions game will be clear (we have to work 2 Saturdays to get the third off due to contractual obligations).
Mid October: GM plant goes into critical. “You will need to work 13 days to get 14th day off”.
Me: fuck. I’ll just take a look at the calendar and god damnit, it’s full. They won’t give me time off. Fuck it, I’ll just call in and deal with the consequences later.
Today: Bills at Detroit could be flexed to fucking Monday night because fuck u/DantePlace that piece of shit.

Networks can protect one game per week.
If this happens I am one unlucky son of a bitch.

At first glance I thought that said “fixed” and I was like, “oh no”. Then I was like, “wait, in their favor or…”
No…CBS WILL protect it. Damn stupid click bait article

Battle of Lake Erie. Commodore Perry would be proud.
As it should be. The ratings would be obscene
