  1. I almost wonder if Jamal is not 100%. He is not attacking the rim at all. Every made FG tonight was a 3. In a critical possession with Jokic on the bench, Jamal had a chance to take over as a scorer, but he gave the ball to Russ and backed away. I thought that was pretty telling. Maybe it’s a health thing, maybe it’s a confidence thing, but Jamal is just not himself right now.

  2. Jamal fr needs to at least pull it together a little bit if my Jamal-for-IQ-and-Olynyk then sign Bruce plan is gonna work next summer

  3. Would’ve loved to see more CB down the stretch and maybe an action or two with MPJ touching it. Tough loss but still a super fun comeback. The first half with Saric had me dreaming of DJ or Vlatko, Gafford was way too big for him. Also they were absolutely beating Jok up

  4. Murray has the same privilege as Jokic in Malone’s mind. Will he bench Jokic for his defense? That’s why he won’t bench Murray

  5. – Don’t know how Braun doesn’t see the floor even just for offense/defense substitution at the end of the game
    – MPJ has a hot quarter and then he gets completely frozen out of the offense
    – Russ and Jamal playing together makes no sense but Russ bailed them out by making 3s
    – what did Murray do to deserve 40 minutes in this game
    – Jokic is phenomenal

  6. GGs, that was a great fucking game that damn near gave me a heart attack. Jokic is something special man. Single-handedly eliminating the MVP voter fatigue.

  7. They allow everyone to maul and foul the best player in the league with zero consequences every game, meanwhile reward unethical hoopers who do nothing but hunt for fouls when being guarded, and wonders why the viewership is down.

I don’t know how a guy who consistently works and gets double teamed in the post, can average less than 10 FTA per game.

  8. Teams now know that the refs are letting a lot of physical contact on Jokic. Dallas always plays like that. It’s not a problem if the game is very physical. The problem is that then we have to play smart with a lot of running and opening up space. Russ was good but he shouldn’t play at the end. Murray certainly contributed the most to the defeat with 4-16, but Westbrook crashed forward at their center in a crucial moment. If Braun had played instead of Westbrook, we would have won. Malone should have played the standard line up at the end. People are mad at Murray, but Westbrook was 1-7 for 2 and totally unnecessarily rushed and soloed in a crucial moment. With Braun in the game, we would play standard Jokic ball and probably win.

  9. ok i’m a contrarian, so i’m gonna play the devil’s advocate:

    refs were horrendous. that’s all.

AG was out, and they are a big, physical team. AG would’ve helped immensely

we entered the 3rd quarter with fucking volcano energy and made some amazing plays, meaning we’re capable of doing it. we don’t have to play every quarter like that, but if we play with 60% of that effort from the get go we’re in good shape

Russ is improving, 3s are falling, only 1 turnover, he’s playing hard, playing D, can’t complain

MPJ was shooting 25% at half but finished with 58% when he started looking for smarter shots. he also fought under the rim and grabbed boards, even on offense, and he swung the rock

Pwat didn’t lose his confidence even if he missed a few 3s. played hard on D, took no prisoners, nice blocks, easily our best bench player behind Russ

Jamal shot 25% but at least at some point he realized the shots were not going in and he wasn’t forcing them as much. 11 assists, would’ve been more if it wasn’t for fouls and non-calls

I love CB. we need to let him shoot more

we showed some guts and didn’t just roll over and we actually tried to win

questionable rotation in the end, so that can be improved

overall, even though we’ll never get over not winning the IST, we’re still fine.

  10. I really find it weird how difficult it _still_ is for this team to consistently integrate MPJ into the offense. He keeps having one quarter of scoring and then gets fazed out. It is one of the weirdest things to me; it is not like he is a new player and they haven’t played with him before.

The offense always looks at its best when he is part of it (not just scoring). I don’t understand why they keep going away from it.

  11. Lakers will be annoying without AG. Have to have Pwat on Lebron. Hopefully CB shuts down Knecht a bit

  12. Forget the shooting and the defense, what in the actual fuck where those lobs Murray was throwing tonight.

  13. I still have faith that Jamal will pull it together, but that was a winnable game. Not subbing for Braun was malpractice on Malone’s part. We wasted an absolutely brilliant performance by Jokić.

  14. What happened to the jokic Murray late game bread and butter two man game? That execution was a huge part of what made the nuggets so deadly over the past two years
