He proved in the playoffs he can still be elite.
He could really help improve the strength of the Yankees IL
Fastball velocity was up and down last year and he has an injury history, but when he’s on the stuff is elite and the breaking ball is outstanding. It’s a risk, but if they can flip Schmidt or Cortes in a package for a bat I wouldn’t be mad at it.

With will warren, poteet, brutaker, beeter on the roster as well please just trade for someone whos reliable and has logged at least 150 innings the last 2 seasons. Remember out of his 3 stsarts he got blasted against SD.

Between him and Verdugo, it’s been an emotional roller coaster of hating these guys on other teams then trying to come around to liking them. Like, it’s only been a few weeks since I called this man Evil Caillou
People in here are dense af he’s had 1 injury since 2020 that’s isn’t the elbow.
If he’s willing to sign a 1 year deal so he can get his real big one next year there’s almost 0 reason not to pursue. It’s hard to take his regular season starts seriously as he was coming off of the elbow than the hip and elbow at the same time. But once both of those got further along in recovery he looked lights out in the playoffs. If it’s long term I can see the hesitation but a one year deal is almost never a bad signing.
Oh hell fuckin no the guy is 1-6 with an ERA that makes Nestor look like Nolan Ryan fuck outta here keep him away from our team
