  1. This team feels the Trocheck regression HARD. Time has shown He was holding this team together with some yo-yo string and play-doh last year. But this year is a much different story.

Mika is who we thought he is. (A frisky 3C who’s very solid on the PK)

And now no Chytil really highlights how spineless this team is up the middle.

  2. I’m not gonna panic. It’s a bad stretch. We’re not a lottery team because of these last two games, justblike we wouldn’t be winning the Cup if we won both of them 5-0.

  3. It took us till 11/20/23 to give up 6G in a game last year. This is our **fourth game this season giving up 6G**

  4. The casuals will standings/ box score watch and gaslight you into believing this is fine but this team just isn’t very good.

Panarin/ Laf going beast mode twice a game as your only path to scoring goals is not a strategy.

  5. The Rangers were cycling the puck in the offensive zone much better earlier in the season. Jesus , they cant forecheck for shit or generate enough offense and break out of the zone. theoretically laviolette benching the 4th line for long stretches should help them offensively but its hurting them because our top guys arent doing enough and have been atrocious defensively

  6. I started writing a whole paragraph on whats wring but honestly i shouldnt have to, this team is largely the same as last season, and should be trying to improve where they were bad at last season, now we are bleeding in almost every part of our game.

  7. Me realizing this aging team is not going to be in the playoffs every year and maybe the last 3 years were actually the window of the 2020s

  8. Good luck beating good teams with Lindgren- Trouba, but you know what, I won’t stop there. Fox is a shell of his former self.

  9. I can’t imagine firing the coach or the GM will make things better. But maybe it can make things worse enough for actual change to finally happen. This team hasn’t been fun to watch for a long, long time now…

  10. They better get their stuff together by the time Nashville comes around cause I’m not going on the road just to see them be blown out

  11. I wouldn’t be surprised if Igor walks next summer, he deserves a good defense and a solid chance at the cup.

I’d be shocked but not much if he went to Vegas or so on a team friendly deal or somewhere warm with low tax and a good chance in the playoffs where he doesn’t deal with the amount of shots with the rangers.

  12. Unsurprisingly I see the creeping “Fire Laviollette” sentiment. And while yes, he’s not doing especially well…It’s the same core. Jim Montgomery isn’t going to magically make Mika a 1C, Kreider competent 5v5 and Trouba- Lindgren functional Defensemen.

This is the team Drury built and largely kept the same year after year.

  13. Kakko has 11 points on the season and is a +12. Zibanejad has 14 points and is a -10. Kreider has 9 points and is -1. One of these guys plays 33% less than the others and is not on the PP1.

  14. When you have 55 and 8 as 1/3 of your defense playing important minutes and the forwards not helping defensively it’s a problem and it’s not going to change. This team is a train wreck defensively. Lavy is clueless.

  15. Yes Steve! How many times did we see Trouba and Lindgren playing offense tonight instead of defense. And they always miss the net or their shot gets blocked. Not worth the risk!

  16. I remember now why I have that bottle of Tums. Left over pizza and a heartless Rangers performance is the recipe for agita.

  17. Ottawa and Buffalo’s rebuilds are going splendidly. We should be more like them I guess.

  18. It makes me upset that the team doesn’t want to try harder for Sam’s last season. It makes me feel like they don’t care about him or aren’t that close with him which is extremely strange if they see him several times a week.

  19. If I’m the coach after the last 2 nights I’m ripping off all the assistant captains and captains on all jersey and tell them to fin earn it. Bag skate 50 laps tomorrow dawn

  20. I’d go on a full blown rant but I did it in the gt. Off the Rush. Rangers can’t defend it. Simple as that. Maybe start on time. This is on players not numbered 13,23,24,31,32,72, 84,90. Those players I ain’t gonna blame. But I cans go into it
I’m tired and all I can say is, onto the Blues.

    Focus on the blues

  21. Our top lines refusing to play any sort of defense whatsoever is costing us so much. And Lindgren Trouba are just horrifically bad now night in and night out.

  22. Trouba absolutely fucking sucks. I can’t take it anymore. He’s completely incapable of completing a pass and it’s a goddamn miracle if one of his muffin shots from the point gets anywhere close to the net. There is not a single thing he does well.

And unfortunately Lindgren is not far behind him.

If Drury doesn’t figure out what to do with these two construction pylons, the Rangers are a guaranteed 1st round out.

  23. Mika cooked, Kreider a pp merchant, Smith cooked, Trocheck regressed, panarin still very good but not godlike like last year where he carried games,, Lindgren cooked, trouba cooked, Miller shuts off his brain sometimes, Chytil made of glass, pp1 unit cooked, coach won’t give the actual players that give a shit time on pp1. Just a lot wrong with this team rn. Atleast some of that has to be fixed for this team to have a chance, no team is perfect but there are too many flaws rn

  24. Troch repeating what we’ve all been saying:
    >The first couple of power plays we had chances, quick chances and good looks, but we were one and done. We have to be better on the retrievals, for sure, and our entries need to be a lot better. Our breakouts – we’re not getting in clean. We’ve got to solve that.

  25. There is zero anger in these post game interview. Zero attempt to own it and be responsible for it. Insanity!!!

  26. I actually really want to know why they flew Mancini from Hartford all the way to Edmonton when they had Ruhwedel up there with the team as the extra defenseman. Like Mancini got in Edmonton at 3:30am woke up at like 8am for a morning skate and then had to play later that night while adjusting to the time difference. While Ruhwedel was already with the team the whole trip and was ready. Like it would have been a miracle for Mancini to play well after all that. Just a baffling choice from Drury and Lavi
