  7. @samson folk no one argueing jakob poeltl is a nice player to have, but fail to mention he has a player option in 2025/2026 where he will opt out and become a UFA. that means they have to offer him an early extension in summer of 2025 or he becomes an expiring. and you know what happens when you slow roll like siakam/fred into contract years. it ends badly.

    also everyone is ignoring the reality with new cable tv contract in us, and claxton and hartenstein contracts, raptors likely have to overpay on his last big contract and he could cost 34-38 million a year for 4 years. i was saying last year og was gonna get north of 40 million and the homers were thinking og anunoby would accept 35 million lol.

    with rogers not willing to pay luxury tax, the raptors cant afford both RJ and Yak, so a decision has to be made now for max return.

    if masai mishandles another asset, i would assume rogers will not give masai a new contract because of it. its just more ammo for not extending masai with the team not doing well.

    if masai gets cooper flagg, with what that means for valuation of franchise and marketing, masai likely gets a new contract. if they mid and lose yak or get two 2nds for him and bad filller, sionara masai from rogers.

  10. Louis, did I hear you say the Raptors are at a point where they wouldn't beat the Celtics anyway ( around the 38 min. mark)? So what almost happened last Ssturday when Raps on a back to back lost by 3 & would have won had it not been for terrible ofgiciating? You are a very good analyst. You should know on any given nighg even bad teams by virtue of records or even takent can beat a good team. Celtucs is not an elite team. They are a very good team. I said if before 2019 Raps team would have beat Celtics in the Finals even with bad officiating.

  13. Love these streams. Never manage to catch them live but I'm glad they're available in podcast form. Makes for a great listen while I'm out doing groceries. On the non-basketball talk, @samsonfolk2946 if your dad really snores that much, consider getting him into a sleep clinic if he hasn't already had one done. You spend one night at a clinic while machines monitor you to see what your quality of sleep is. Did one myself about 10 yrs ago after my partner said that I sounded like I was choking all night and got diagnosed with a pretty severe case of sleep apnea. Got at CPAP machine and once I got used to wearing it, my sleep quality got so much better
