Kinda feel bad for Bannister tbh but at the same time he was just kinda “guy”.
Legit surprised by this though. A) Because of how fast it happened and B) because I’m a little surprised Monty wanted to come to a team that is not currently playoff bound or even particularly close. 5 years I guess means he’s in the for the long haul

Are we tanking or not? We gonna F around and draft 14th.

Yeo was fired on 11/18/18. Now all we need to be is dead last on Jan 2 and I’ll start saving for another trip to a parade.

I recall when Doug fired Davis Payne and hired Hitch he went into the locker room and said something like this is a good coach, it’s on you guys now. Monty is a great coach, so if he can’t get this team going it’s clearly a roster problem. It’s all on the players now. Edit: glad he gets a runway of 5 years. That’s an eternity in coaching years, but I think it’s necessary.
Feel bad for Bannister, but this is the right move. LGB!!!

Someone tell me how to feel. I feel like coaches in the NHL keep getting recycled and it really doesn’t matter. I still miss Chief though
I’m not sure Bannister was ever ready for NHL coaching so maybe he can go back to Springfield? Still makes money and wasn’t Monty a finalist when we were searching for head coaches after Berube anyways?
