  1. > “His requirement is ‘Play Hard. Play the game the right way and leave it all out there. Everything was about ‘this is how we’re going to win,’ and I’m excited to have that leadership this year.”

  2. If he is not in triple A at the start of the season, than the offseason is a failure. Singer deal was a good start, but not enough.

  3. I really like Benson. He has the quality and I’ve felt like the proper coach was missing. I think he’ll be there this upcoming season

  4. Benson needs to pretend the manager doesn’t exist and spend all of his time with the hitting coach. Dude has a big hole in his swing that he wasn’t able to fix all of last year, and once the league figured that out he was toast. If he doesn’t go through a full swing/approach retool, I can’t see them using a roster spot on him.

  5. Nothing against him, but Benson just can’t be on the opening day roster if this team wants to compete for the NL Central title

  6. Listen, Will has the tools and skills necessary to be a solid MLB player. Problem is that coaching let him down last year. McKeithan had absolutely no reason being a MLB hitting instructor. Hopefully Valaika will get him straightened out and he can be like he was in 2023 at least.

  7. If Will can get his head right he’d honestly be one of the top hitters in baseball. His batted ball statistics are insane, he just struggles to put the bat on the ball.
