  1. Love to see Bolduc and Holloway have excellent games, and actually get rewarded with ice time for it.

    They were 3rd and 4th in ice time amongst forwards for the Blues, only behind Thomas and Buch. Seriously impressive games for these guys, and hope they can continue to provide depth scoring.

    The Blues are undefeated in the Montgomery era!

    But seriously, that had to be the best and most complete game of the year. I hope it’s not just the “New coach smell” and that they can keep it going. They went down and didn’t give up. The got a lead and lost it and didn’t give up. They got it back again and didn’t sit on it like they have done all too often and stayed aggressive.

    RECKLESS OPTIMISM restored!

  4. I haven’t enjoyed any games this much since Broberg was lighting it up at the start of the season. And depth, we got goals from our second And third lines! This team looks night and day different.

  6. Jim Montgomery got onto that bench, remained professional, and did not commit any inappropriate sexual acts towards any of the players.

    He got the boys going with his honesty and legitimate leadership.

  7. First time in a long ass time I’ve seen a coach visibly excited to win a regular season game. Welcome home, Monty.

Monty must have really been loved here because these guys absolutely responded tonight and seemed to be enjoying themselves….that said, the entire presence of Monty behind the bench compared to the other guy was astonishing. Monty was running the show, directing things, engaging with players, and he looks like a hockey coach. Yes, while it may seem silly, in addition to being competent, I think looking like you belong there is important

  23. My first thought checking the TOI stats after the 3rd: I think Monty realizes Suter cannot go 25+ every night.  

    Suter played a little over 9 minutes in each of the first two periods.  

    Suter in the 3rd: 5 1/2 minutes.

  24. Better offensive team tonight with Bolduc scoring two goals and Buchnevich scoring an empty net goal for the ! Long live the note 🎵 🎺🎵🎺

  25. This is the 1st time I can recall all year where we used the entire bench in the 3rd period. We didn’t just leave it to 7 or 8 forwards and 4 Dmen to hold a lead or tie the game late.

  26. I think Hof should start again in Jersey. Build that confidence and let Binny break the record at home.

  28. In hindsight, firing the coach midseason has yielded tremendous results so this makes sense.

  29. Stayed up just a bit later than I should have just to hear Jim Montgomery speak, and man, I couldn’t be happier with this move. You can tell he’s relieved and happy to be ‘home’, he talks in a way that might almost make you think he’s St. Louis born and bred. Maybe not this year, or even next year, but this was the ***right*** move. This is going to end in a parade downtown one way or another.

  32. Great for Monty and really good for this team. Bolduc was a man possessed tonight and deserved every second of icetime he got. Give him more!

    This is who I thought we were before the season started. This + Broberg in a few weeks? I wouldn’t want to play us.
