  1. It’s actually such a shame kreider in the center of rumors while Mika is sitting pretty with his no move clause till 2030.

  2. lavi refusing to call out our leaders. shocker, keep playing nice to guys who fucking suck and show no effort, that seems to hav worked well so far

  3. so what weve learned from the offseason is that troubas wife cost this team a chance at any solid defenseman, mika wasnt having an off year, and drury waited too long to find a real 1rw

  4. The lazy zone exits, especially when players have time, are so disheartening. You see it with Trouba and Lindgren the most, when they have space but just ring it up the boards, creating a 50/50 where the opposing D can pinch and keep their offense alive.

Just not enough tenacity in most guys. Cuylle and Kakko were positively noticeable, consistently creating from nothing and not giving up on plays, but too many players were not good. Rempe was bad, send him back to Hartford, he’s a liability out there at this point, as much as I love the guy.

Chytil can’t come back soon enough.

  5. It’s not Laviolette’s fault these guys are ass and don’t care (they never did all that much if you actually watched the games), but it is interesting how fast his teams go south.

  6. The big issue is you pay Drury the big bucks to be PROACTIVE and aggressive, not reactive.

It’s not like this Trouba- Lindgren- Mika was a shock to see coming after the past 1-2 years.

  7. The core is rotten and before the rotten core infects the rest of the fruit you need to extract it and throw it away.

  8. Scary thought about how weak our leadership group is: even if Trouba was stripped of his C, we don’t have anyone that would be worthwhile of actually being Captain material

  9. This is probably gonna come off massively doomer of me, but fuck it we ball.

Did they bork the team into complete scared shitlessness with waive-trading Goodrow and trying to trade Trouba? Is the rest of the locker so scared they could be next to get traded so their playing is reflecting that fear? Are they not into it because the team lost that “family” feeling? In trying to make enough cap space to keep certain necessary assets for the future did they scare everyone into not wanting to be here? And is the only solution to actually continue to get rid of people until the mood changes with people who actually want to be here?

I’m kind of at a loss for what’s going on because the team started strong (albeit with some flaws) and now just seems like they’re spiralling.

  10. If tonight was a mini referendum on the Drury years then it’s a sublime piece of poetic justice that the last goal was scored by Pavel Buchnevich.

  11. Kakko had a great game, Cuylle had a great game, Berard had a great debut, and it’s all brought down by the 3 losers that shouldn’t be on the roster. A simp, a broken down body, and a washed DJ.

It’s sad that a performance by the young players were wasted. and Kreider, a homegrown player, the more and more i see it, Saturday night was probably his final game in a Ranger uniform.

    >We have to stop it somehow. It doesn’t matter how we feel or not. We’re professionals. Everyone has that experience when things are not going well in your days. We’ve just got to wake up tomorrow, fix our mistakes and be ready for Carolina.

    Lavi
    >Everybody needs to be better inside the room… No matter what question you want to ask, it’s got to be better. There’s 3 games in a row where we’re playing to a level and a standard that’s not us.

  13. If there’s any “good” news, it’s that the struggles are happening and Drury isn’t blind to it. Whether he makes the right calls to fix it is anyone’s guess.

  14. Hi everyone! Just checking in, is it still “it’s November, relax! Look at their record” 🤡🤡🤡🤡

  15. Think this season is salvageable…there’s so much of the season left.

The worrying issue with recent form though is there’s no superstar or key player missing. I think this team needs a jolt of energy from outside the org. Things just feel stale.

Laviolette’s tried a few things like Kakko at C, but not in the places it’s mattered. Trouba-Lindgren is still being trotted out like it’s a #1 pair. No benchings to any underperforming like Zib.

I don’t see anything other than inconsistent to pure poor performances without some help from Drury.

  16. oh also I wanna pop back in with one more positive observation: watching zac jones enter the zone on a power play feels like watching live art in motion, he’s so goddamn good at it, so fast and relaxed it’s rad

  17. I’m kinda over Matt Rempe, lets be real he doesn’t have the talent to be a skater in the NHL and he took a really dumb penalty tonight when we’re trying to press in the 3rd period because he was out for revenge. I don’t even think he’s a top 6 player in the, AHL the only goals he scores are the rare tip ins or a fluke deflection off his leg or something.

  18. Tonight looked ok to start but then went down hill. A few stepped up – Cuylle, Kakko, Jones, Berard, Igor trying to keep them in it and decided he was tired of facing 50+ shots yet again. Clearly Kreider isn’t the issue – we still lost whether he was in the game or out. If this is a benching experiment, can we please do
Mika, Lindy or Trouba next? And I get we’re down by 2 but we can’t defend the net when Igor is there, you want them to try when he’s not? That’s just giving them a free goal. I was hoping the lost Saturday would give them some oomph when they came home. Not ready to gloom and doom just yet but I am ready to see some tough love with our vet core. Onto Wednesday and the Canes. Let’s try and win 1 before the end of November. See ya Wednesday! LGR!

  19. No way out of this slump without addressing our defense. Dreading the deal Drury will put together to make it happen.

  20. sure our defense was lacking yet again but dont take the attention away from the fact that the forwards arent doing too much either. last season it seemed like if we entered the offensive zone there was like an 80% chance we were gunna score. also when games had us down 4-1 in the 2nd I wasnt worried one bit because they would more often than no come back from that. now we get down 3-2 and im concerned.
