How INVESTED Was Jim Montgomery in Being The Bruins Long Term Head Coach?

On Monday’s edition of Zolak and Bertrand, the guys reacted to former Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery signing a five-year deal to become the head coach of the St. Louis Blues. This lead the guys to question how badly Montgomery wanted to be in Boston long term.

  1. This is just terrible sports talk radio. Making up conspiracies and speculating about someone who is no longer here. Facts: Montgomery was on the last year of his contract. It was the Bruins who weren’t interested in signing him to an extension and it was the Bruins who fired him. It was the Bruins who weren’t invested in Montgomery. When did Boston sports media turn into such weasels and rats?

  2. As someone who has followed the Blues for a long time I would tell u that the St. Louis Blues owner Tom Stillman is a owner who does not mind spending money.
I think the Blues opened the wallet to Jim Montgomery. With the financial compensation and with Montgomery's wife being from St. Louis, it was a no brainer for Jim Montgomery to except the job.

  3. How is it suspicious that Monty did not trust the weasel Don Sweeney? Once again, Sweeney wasted the Bruin's Cap space and left Monty with nothing to work with. As far as the Sports Hub is concerned, why are the Patriots toadies commenting on Bruins hockey?
