This is Calgary in a nutshell. Good enough to not completely suck or get a top 3/5 pick, bad enough to not be successful. Calgary is the literal definition of “mid”. We don’t suck, but we’re not great either.

And enough of an uninformed fan base to just cheer for them till the end, hoping they make the playoffs, and saying “well, always next year!” Meanwhile it’s the very reasons we’re always mediocre.
They will still be bottom 5 in the league. They have a lot of tough road trips ahead. This was supposed to be a cupcake trip.
It’s okay flames, you go to the playoffs when you feel like it. We’ll still be here win or lose. The fire always outlasts the storm 🔥 🐺
I have faith in Conroy to do the right thing and not get swayed by an unexpectedly good start to the season. The team should still be looking to sell off several roster players for picks and prospects. And for god’s sake, no additions unless they are young players on longer contracts who can grow with the team.
Conroy I have faith in, but Murray Edwards not so much. He seems way too old-school to me to understand the necessity of taking a step back to take two steps forward.
