the plan is to have Carlton Davis practice today, but not Taylor Decker.

  1. Decker can take the whole week off practice and be fine. Vets get that ability. I think he plays

  2. Glad to hear Carlton is practicing.  Hope he’s ready to go for Thursday; we could use him.

  3. Is the difference between CD3 to Vildor greater than the combination of

    Rodrigo to Alexander

    Pascal to ???

    Honestly… maybe

If so that means with injuries we would be trotting out a better defense than vs the bears

  4. Not too upset about decker being out if he ends up not playing. Houston game shook a lot of fans up, but Skipper (with assistance of course) performed significantly better during the Bears game. Was Goff still pressured more than usual? Yes, but he handled the pressure just fine during the bears game. Defensive players being out is more important than even our best player on offense (aside from Goff and probably Sewell) being out at this point.

  5. Maybe we get one more from D back like JRM? Jack Campbell is covering as much field as 1.5 LBs so we got this.

  6. People are worried about the injuries to the Lions defense, but the secondary is healthy and is maybe not elite, but in the next tier below. The defensive line with Smith, Reader and McNeil is still very strong even with whatever they throw out there on the other Edge.

    Linebackers are the wildcard.

I think we forget how good the offense is. Lions can be elite just based on the offense alone.

  7. Tbh… Carlton Davis, Terrion Arnold, Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph making up our secondary is far more important than whatever warm bodies make up our LB Core (knock on wood for Jack Campbell).

Take away key pieces of our secondary, and Aaron Glenn’s defense falls apart.
