Lions Dan Campbell on Jahmyr Gibbs Social Media Leak: “Don’t Really Give a Crap!”

“I don’t really give a crap. If we’re going to lose because of code words then we’re not good enough anyway. So I think we’ll just post the whole fricking playbook out there and every code word we’ve got. And it doesn’t matter. It’s not going to hurt us, it won’t affect us and it’s all good.”

#dancampbell even joked about the situation when asked if he will bench #jahmyrgibbs and his workload for the #detroitlions

“We’re fine,” Campbell said. “As a matter of fact I joked at him about it yesterday, I messed with him, so it’s good. I’m not even worried about it.”

Campbell did give perspective of the situation and also expressed he didn’t want that to happen again.

“It’s on tape. The TV copy. I mean, you guys at home get more than we do, until after the game,” Campbell said. “I’m telling you, it’s crazy. Listen, it’s all out there and you can find any and everything that you need on the tape and how to attack people, how they’re going to attack you and no, listen, I’m not losing sleep over that.

“Now, do I want us posting stuff up from our locker room or our players or whatever? No, I don’t because you don’t know what’s going to happen with something like that. But no, in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a big deal.”

  8. 🚨 First of all…that was probably intentional and FAKE code words. A little gamesmanship hoping the Bears might try to decipher it.

    Second, if those WERE legit code words at one point, they were probably OLD codes. Teams change those codes all of the time.

    Third, this is why coaches cover their mouths when calling in a play. You can know all of the code words you want but if you can’t hear or see them it means nothing.

    And finally, if this actually WAS a leak of code names they’re still using, there is ZERO chance that Gibbs would get benched.

    Y’all have a few screws missing if you actually believe that. The dude is averaging 6.0 yards per carry. He’s a TOP 3 running back in this league only behind Barkley and Henry.

Morons, FG didn't cost the game, MANY mistakes did, im glad he still makes calls that got us there, then worry bout the KARENS!! REAL FANS KNOW WHO GOT US HERE, AND ITS A WHOLE LOT OF THEM, BUT MCDC, BRAD, AND SHEILA ARE THE BIGGEST REASON!!!

  22. Man, our coach continues to astound me with how immovable he is emotionally (in a good way). He is so fierce and stable. Perfect characteristics of a head coach.

  24. Great coach reaction. Gibbs and really Williams just have to grow up and into the proffessional role, they're still young so let them stumble and learn.
