I’m on team Fenway. Much more unique

  1. Today, Fenway. But my answer would be pre upgrade Wrigley. So like, 2013 since that’s recent enough.

The scoreboards look so out of place whereas Fenway looks natural with them. Also the atmosphere outside of Wrigley was much better before they built around it.

  2. Fenway is very cool but many more blind spots and poles in way of view and on a cold or rainy day there are a lot of leaks and puddles everywhere. Wrigley also historic and cool place but their fans are very cocky for little reason

  3. I’ve gotta go Fenway, but i also had a little more time there. Got to take a tour before the game, too. Unfortunately i overslept before going to Wrigley, so i didn’t really get the full experience. Got to the game right at first pitch and had to meet a friend right after

  4. Just comparing parks, I would go Wrigley, then Fenway. Throw in the atmosphere, and it becomes a toss-up for me, so I’d have to go home to Coors Field.

  5. Fenway because some drunk threatened to beat me up there when I was 12 years old. It’s a pretty cool memory now and I am sure I deserved it.

  6. Been to both, Fenway is the better stadium in terms of amenities and viewing experience but Wrigley has the better atmosphere. There’s some bars and stuff around Fenway, but Wrigley has an entire neighborhood that goes nuts for the Cubs. Getting rooftop tickets across the street to a game in Wrigley is just a unique experience Fenway can’t match.

  7. Im extremely biased but I will say 1:20pm Friday games at Wrigley is the greatest thing on this earth that gives me so much joy. The vibes are immaculate.

Never been to Fenway but I plan on visiting next year!

  8. For me they’re essentially neck and neck. But I’ll give the edge to Fenway simply for getting to listen to the Boston accent all around me while watching the game.

  9. I really enjoyed my trip to Wrigleyville. Went during Derek Jeters final season. Tanaka pitched and we lost 2-0 or 1-0. Love old school ballparks.

  10. Fenway seemed on my visit to be a Mecca for baseball. I saw SD when they came to town by the stands were peppered by several dozen people wearing kits of teams other than Red Sox or Padres.

  11. Cubs fan, so obviously very bias in Wrigleys favor, but I had the fortune of getting to see Fenway this summer on a Boston trip and I 100% see why people pick it as their favorite ballpark. The whole experience was phenomenal and I loved the city.

  12. Wrigley. Where else can you see where The Babe called his shot? Also the neighborhood is awesome. Although I will say it was better before the upgrades.

  13. I’ve never been to Fenway, but always a good time out in the bleachers at Wrigley. Hope to make it to Fenway someday.

  14. Been to both, don’t care to go back to either. Seats at both weren’t made with 6’7″ people in mind

  15. Tough choice! Chicago native transplanted to Boston. I love both parks for their history and urban neighborhood location. Wrigley is easier to get around. Wrigley has rooftops. Fenway is quirky and has the Monster. Food is about the same. Shitters at Wrigley are a little “nicer”. On that basis, I’m going with Wrigley.

  16. Wrigley, went one a work trip back in the day. Train drops you off right in front, bar across the street was awesome. Cubs were horrible but the people were fucking great.

  17. Fenway seats are way too small. Makes it unwatchable. I tried 2 different sections for 2 different games. I’m just a little over 6′ and have shoulders. I had to try to watch at a 45 degree angle. I appreciate the history but it really doesn’t feel like a MLB ballpark. It’s like a decent AAA stadium.

I look forward to trying Wrigley though.

  18. Loool

What’s the best stadium in baseball? Please don’t factor in their horrible fans. So Fenway right?

  19. Wrigley Field. Grew up like 30 minutes from the park and the night games served as night light in a way. The ballpark feels like a time capsule.

  20. Wrigley for the average fan no doubt, Fenway for the die-hard east coast fan…hard to underweight fan attitudes too much between these two as it spills over to the overall atmosphere and individual fan experience.

  21. Haha “Dont give fan attitude too much weigh” that way everyone doesnt pick Wrigley.

  22. Wrigley, it feels like watching a game the same way people watched games 75 years ago. Fenway just feels like a place that’s old.

  23. Red Sox fan. Sight-lines at Wrigley are way better. Fenway RF grandstands you’re facing center field and got a pole between the mound and the hitter.

  24. Fenway. Despite the odd seating and the rats – it’s a charming, intimate ballpark. While I feel the monster seats are a gimmick that wasn’t needed, it still maintains its old school feel.

Wrigley, to me, is ruined by the rooftops. They look like bolted on eyesores and take away from the ballpark’s aesthetic. The indoor bullpens are another decision I don’t like.

Given that Dodger Stadium is the third oldest ballpark – I’d rate that ahead of Wrigley as well.

  25. Been to both. Loved both. Hotdog situation is the best at Chicago. The actual game at Fenway was more enjoyable for me. Loved hearing the metal clang when a ball hit the green monster. I mean Fenway, but almost a 1A and 1B for me 😂

My wife disagrees ranks Wrigley as her favorite and Fenway second.

  26. Fenway. Something about the special in field features that makes the game different is what makes Fenway so iconic to me.

  27. I’ve been to both and both are amazing. That said, I went to a Wrigley afternoon game on a Friday and the bleachers were one of the best sports experiences I’ve ever had.

  28. Fenway, because its oddities make it such that baseball played there is impossible to get anywhere else. The combination of idiosyncrasies from having both the tallest and shortest outfield wall in the game, the deepest and shallowest outfields, the Pesky Pole, and the Bermuda Triangle make it possible to experience a type of baseball that only Fenway offers.

  29. Fenway. Been to both hated the guts out of wrigley even though i actually got to see my team (we won thats not the reason) but didnt at fenway but fenway si so much ebtte

  30. Wrigley. The viewing experience is just so much better. I know this is blasphemous but I’ve been to Fenway a few times and the only enjoyable time was a near perfect game by Mike Mussina.

  31. Been to both. Atmosphere at Wrigley is better, Fenway is the superior park.

If I had a choice to watch a game, Wrigley any day.
