Should’ve been a 80 win team at max that somehow won 92 and the division with an awful starting rotation and mediocre offense with a rookie manager relying on the power of rookies and friendship but had the best bullpen in the league
Guardians were entertaining at the very least
Royals!
Royals
The Padres were the second best team in the playoff pool, and it’s not even close. Mookie Betts openly talked about how they kicked the Dodgers butts all year.
The Brewers were fairly rated.
Great regular season team that chokes constantly in the post. If anything I feel them to be overrated. I do think they’re a pretty good team though
Mets. Same city as Yankees so never got the spotlight they deserve. End up making deep run after rough start in beginning of season and played dodgers tougher than Yankees in World Series
This doesn’t answer the question, but the Yankees were overrated in my opinion. They were lucky to reach the playoffs, let alone the WS. And I’ve been a Yankees fan my entire life
Gotta be the Tigers right? Fangraphs had them at something like a .5% chance of making the playoffs in early summer. Those crazy Motor City Kitties made the damn playoffs.
Not us.
Dodgers. Everyone anticipated a choke in the divisional round. They won the World Series. They over-performed what the baseball subreddits thought they would do to the highest degree possible.
It was easily the Tigers, they sold off all tradable assets save Skubal and still made it damn far into the playoffs.
I hate admitting it, but going into the season, I never thought the Royals would be as good as they were. I kept waiting for them to fall off and they never did.
Brewers
Really like the vibe Kansas City has going for them. Tons of young guys and their futures looking bright.
The Cubs had a lotta talent this year, we even ended the season with a winning record
TIGERS HANDS DOWN
Royals and tigers were underrated
Tigers snuck past a lot of people, almost Cleveland!
In general: AL Central was underrated before this season. 4/5 were postseason contenders
Mets, Brewers, Royals. All 3 weren’t expected to do anything at all really.
I think the order goes Royals, Brewers, Mets. Because the Mets should have been this good for 2-4 years now, they just couldn’t get it going until mid season this year. So technically they were so overrated for a while that they were underrated based on performance/expectations. We expected them to continue to blunder and they didn’t.
Brewers were supposed to be rebuilding and have little to no success under the new leadership. Well deserved MGR of the year.
The Royals though, they came outta absolutely nowhere.
Indians
Feeling tigers and it’s not the bias
Calling the White Sox “The Bad” is over rating them.
The minnesota twins if you exclude september
Tigers…
Padres
The white Sox were even worse than you think. You underrated their suckage
Tigers
KC for sure!
Underrated and totally not biased: Detroit Tigers, KC Royals, NY Mets, AZ Dbacks (offensively)
I’d say Cleveland. They had a great team, just played poorly in the playoffs. Now nobody talks about them, even here in the underrated post.
Royals and tigers underrated? they are mediocre at best; the entire AL central is average because of the historically bad white sox making everyone else look good. Only reason they got in the playoffs was because royals went 12-1 against the white Sox and tigers went 10-3. Obviously the WS were terrible but the royals and tigers were more overrated than underrated.
Padres were underrated I didn’t know how good they were until they took the dodgers to the end.
Give me the downvotes.
Baltimore
How could it be anyone but Detroit?
Twins in my book. It was Carlos Correa who was the bad seed. Players deflated
Reds
The Brewers did exactly as expected. Top of AL Central, first round exit lol

Can I throw in my bias here?
