Turns out playing hard for 12 out of 60 minutes does not win hockey games.
Not the greatest games on Broberg and binners ends, but have a short memory and move on.
Edmonton fans were extra annoying tonight just because of Broberg and Holloway lol.
Didn’t deserve to win that one, but sure as hell made it fun towards the end.

Well no one had a great game tonight including Binner, it happens. At least they fought back in the 3rd to make a game of it. On to Vancouver.
I hate it when the St. Louis Blues lose hockey games.
Sad about the loss of the point streak, especially to another team in a wildcard spot. Happy Holloway got to keep his streak going though.
This team obviously has the talent, the 3rd shows that. Plus all the other games since Monty jumped in. Consistency, consistency, consistency is the problem, and I believe in Monty to get that to a better spot.
Binner was definitely off today too, that is an irregularity. I think we’re going places.

Binner seems more inconsistent this season than he’s been in a while; he’ll look great, and then he’ll look really out of sorts. I don’t know if he just needs some time to reset or what, but either way, I would love to see Hofer get an extended run in net.
We didn’t pull it out but I love the fight we showed in the third. The last 2 seasons they probably would’ve rolled over after the first 2 periods. Rough night for Binner but everyone has bad games now and then

McWheels is a shitty captain. Great player, but shitty captain. You need to look no further than the exodus of players in the recent offseason from that team.
Broberg is a lot better than his performance tonight. The soilers came on heavy because that’s what they do when they feel they’ve got a point to prove, be it: someone reaching a point total/goal scored milestone, or in tonight’s case, a couple of players who didn’t want to play underneath a toxic captain and signed some offer sheets.
Keep your heads up, Blues bros. You’ve got a couple of great players in Holloway and Broberg plus one of the best coaches in the league. I look forward to seeing where you guys are come March next year!

I am genuinely surprised to see Thommer up there. I don’t know if he had a better game than Draisaitl, but good on the Oilers for showing respect to an opposing player.
The boys weren’t terrible tonight. Edmonton seemed to have every answer in the 1st and 2nd, but they didn’t fold like a cheap card table in the 3rd. They had the will to fight back and were looking like they might actually get it done. Then Binner had a bit of a weird softie get by and they were all but done.
I hate it when the opposing team has good players.
We may have lost tonight but we won in the long run with Hollywood and Broberg, and not having Mr. Fuckface as our GM.
On to Vancouver.
At least losses aren’t straight up depressing anymore.
Chances of sweeping this road trip were very low. They showed some fight at the end after a tough period. All you can really ask for. Team is still on the right track.
