So is KG

  1. They were like “mention Harris, they won’t even notice the Green bad news” 😒😒

  2. Im probably insane for this but I kinda want to see green next to Patterson. CJ has still been getting sacked into oblivion so why not?

  3. 10 birria tacos and I’ll drive to NRG right now to fight Green. I’ll stomp on his toes!

  4. Being devils advocate:

Kenyon Green has posted some high PFF grades and was elite in run blocking against the colts and one other game. He also does have the physical tools. Just hasn’t been able to stay healthy long enough for it to click (OL and DB have the steepest learning curve out of college (aside from QB).

Patterson filled in well last season and him being plugged in has been the biggest part of OL doing better – not subtracting Green. Watching the tape Patterson makes better pre snap reads which makes it easier on the OL when communication is on point.

This wasn’t happening with Scruggs (communication was a disaster and there were many unblocked negative plays.

So in summary: I wouldn’t be surprised that removing Scruggs from center was a bigger deal than subtracting Green.

Either way let Scruggs/ Mason / Green battle it out for the two spots. Anyone saying him returning is dumb – competition and quality depth is a good thing. Green has shown flashes, he’s been MIA, and he’s looked terrible. Is it because communication or lack of ability?

Just wanted to provide an alternate perspective

  5. Why do I feel myself getting ready to be disappointed by Green again? I’m sitting here like, hmmmm you maybe he could figure it out!

  6. Green had been benched before the injury. He only got back in when Patterson left for a concussion.

We just had the highest offensive line rating so far this season in our last game.

There is no way Kenyon is back in the lineup.
