  1. And that wouldn’t have mattered at all if they had offered him $800M. But at that point Cohen would have offered $850M so it doesn’t really matter what the yanks offered at the end of the day.

  2. They made his chauffer and his chef stand outside? What about his Au Pair? What about his pool boy? For the love of God, what did they do to his haberdasher? I NEED ANSWERS!

  3. He pulled a Zack Greinke: “…I’ll go to where I get paid the most.”

Hard not to respect that really.

  4. So here’s my question for you, Heyman:

If this happened in April/May, and you’ve known about it since then, why did you continue to float around rumours of him returning to the Yankees if you knew this was going to factor in his decision not to go back there?

  5. Oh bullshit. That’s as believable as Mike Hampton being a fan of Colorado school systems.

  6. Nothing about Soto screams he is a team guy no matter what is being said about him. He has been a merc his whole career so far.

  7. Guy has had a problem with the Nationals, Padres and Yankees. At some point you have to look inward

  8. Reminds me of Ken Griffey’s story of being treated poorly as a kid leading him to become a Yankee-hater. Treating “the little people” badly has consequences.

  9. Soto went to the team where he could be THE guy. The Yankees are Judge’s team.

That’s why he said he wanted a to have a relationship with the owner.

    That’s what really happened.

  10. lol, it couldn’t just be about the $765 million, it had to involve Yankee security? Yeah right.

  11. A lot of the recent tweets, especially from Heyman have been made to save face for Soto. It’s clear he simply wanted to go to the highest bidder. I don’t buy that he chose to spend the next 15 years with the Mets because of a security guard at Yankee Stadium.
