  1. My only complaint about Snit is he is too laid back and he will not fight for his players like Bobby and will allow bad calls to go by even with replay challenges

  2. As someone who has been a huge critic of how Snit has handled the team the past 4 years he absolutely DOES have a talent and a place. He is/was one of the best player development guys in the Braves system and maybe in all of MLB. He knows how to take talented kids and turn them into top tier MLB players who get their jobs done both on and off the field.
The problem is he's TERRIBLE at managing games, developing strategy to deal with changing scenarios (compared to other major league managers, not compared to random people off the street). He is THE GUY I would want managing my AAA or AA affiliate or even an MLB team full of up and coming young talent like the Braves 2016-2020. The problem is that since 2021 thats not what the Braves have been. This is a team of veteran players who are trying to win a world series.
Yeah, he's a great guy and players like him but there are other managers who are great guys too and players will be happy if they are winning. You don't want to look back on this playoff window in 10 years and say "well, they basically never did anything with all those talented players, but its okay they were very loyal to Brian Snitker and that's what matters!". That's not what matters for a team's legacy and it's not what puts fans in seats and sells merch, which like it or not is the goal of an MLB franchise.

  3. I think Snit did some of his best managing this past season. He just did not have the horses. I hope he sticks around a couple more seasons. Hopefully I plan to live another two or three seasons to watch him.

  4. Leadership is not about tossing chairs around a room or screaming to the top of your lungs. A manager leads by placing the right people at the right moment. A manager cannot sit and pray for a home run. A manager creates situations to build upon during an inning. Snit has been a poor manager in that respect. He lacks sound creativity. He’s been an ok manager but I saw a flat 2024 team with little motivation. Looking forward to 2025.
