[Boston Sports Gordo]Max Fried’s decision is likely to come down to the Red Sox and Yankees

either is cool with me aesthetically
Boston and he gets to wear uniforms that look just like the Friday reds he wore with the Braves
Yankees and he shaves the stupid goatee
I guess maybe he didn’t wanna go home to the West Coast after all.
Fried would look horrible in pinstripes.
Come on New York.
But it’s mind blowing that the union rep southern California guy doesn’t immediately run to the Dodgers.
Come on, Sox!
His decision is delayed due to arm fatigue and blisters.
Please go to Boston
absolutely zero reason we should not pay this man
So does Max just have zero interest in staying with us, or does AA just have zero interest in signing him? Seems like we’re not even trying to keep him.
Ugh. Why
None of you should be shocked by this. It’s Freddie all over again, just no agent drama. The Braves simply don’t want to fork over big for anyone.if they can’t trick a young talent to sign a long term deal for a fraction of what he’s worth *cough* Acuna *cough*, they won’t do it.
He’s in decline. Injury prone. I think he had a good run with the Braves, but they’ve rarely let anyone walk without good reason.
Atlanta Sports Gordo just told me it’s between Atlanta and Baltimore
He’s gonna get 30 mil AAV for like 6 or 7 years and people on this sub are still gonna be mad we weren’t the ones to give it to him.
I adore Fried, but he simply is not worth that price point to us at this time. We have our front 2 solidified in Strider and Sale. With a 3rd/4th in Schwellenbach/Lopez. Alongside about 4 or 5 guys(Grant Holmes, Ian Anderson, AJ Smith Shawver, Hurston Waldrep, Bryce Elder) that can fight for a 5th starter spot and make spot starts as needed during the season. Then after all of that we another couple of prospects that are nearing that time period where they get consideration from AA and his team for spot starts. Those being Drue Hackenberg, Lucas Braun, Jhancarlos Lara, Blake Burkhalter, and the list goes on.
I do think we should and will add a starter, but it does not need to be at a *free agency* premium price point. We will find far better value that gives us more flexibility down the free agent list or via trade. An option that will make our team better overall as it won’t be the only move we’re capable of making this winter.
Good, keep him out of the NL and NL East please
Maybe those are the two teams. He quotes a fan sided insider. I’ve read enough fan sided articles to know that they know nothing. So I will wait until someone more credible comes out.
