Flames Made Right Call By Not Signing Broberg & Holloway

Well yeah why would we gift oilers ~38OA pick when we’re supposed to be tanking
I would’ve really liked if we did with broberg. I think he’s a great young defenseman. That said, I’m just happy someone did.
Ya, two kids who can contribute and have a high ceiling …. Lmao okay den
Broberg would’ve been a solid pick up. It would’ve been the ultimate screw you Oilers too. Lol
“They were bad Oilers so they’d be bad Flames!” is what I’m guessing the through line is
An offer sheet requires you over pay the players which makes it a gamble but, with how little the compensation was, the gamble was probably worth it. With that said, I think the Oilers are much more likely to retaliate against the Flames than the Blues. I could see these offer sheets being forgotten when the Oilers get a new GM, but if the Flames did it the Oilers would never forget it.
What a weird cope? It’s easier to say that we had other plans, but to say that we’re better off not having them with the benefit of hindsight/knowing what a strong season they’ve had. That’s completely wrong. I’m a secondary Blues fan and they have both been fantastic additions- absolute steals, each of them.
Hard disagree. You pray a 2nd and 3rd turn into guys like Broberg and Holloway.
