Should we prepare for Padres to trade Dylan Cease? | MLB Winter Meetings rumors
The Padres appear to be in a similar situation to a year ago so who is this year’s Juan Soto? It sure seems like it could be Dylan Cease

I need Steve Balmer to buy this team. It could take us to the next level
The Pobres want to convert relievers into starters and pay them reliever salary. Cheapos. How will Darvish and Nomo spin this to Sasaki?
Who is better….Sasaki or Yamamoto?
13 to 14M for a season of Dylan Cease is a bargain for a starting pitcher. The Padres should be dealing from a position of strength. If this happens it should help the team fill multiple holes. Regardless, losing Dylan from an already thin rotation will hurt šā¦..
Thank you Ben for acknowledging this is frustrating and not normal. Fans have a right to be disappointed in the mismanagement that got us to this point. It canāt all be blamed on no TV deal. There is never any accountability from the front office or ownership. There are always excuses. And we are the ones who have to shut up and keep paying the hiked prices.
The ValeMadres are a misguided bunch of fools. A team that keeps the antic instigators like Machado, Tatis, Profar, Etc, yet let their good players like Cease and Kim go will have to face the music, crappy elevator muzakā¦..
Trading Dylan Cease makes absolutely no sense when this team is already short on starting pitching. ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. The only reason he would be traded is because naturally he will be in his final year and they can't afford to resign him. But let's face it, they can't afford to resign ANYONE at this point. How do you win with no pitching?
Need Kutspenda to learn some ball and go over the cbt. Sometimes you operate in a deficit sometimes you operate in a surplus.. gotta do whatās right for customers tho period! And in this case thatās going over the cbt.
I say keep Cease tho even if we get Roki.
Yet the padres notoriously have increase ticket prices and everything else, moreover fans continue to support the team. once Peter Seidler left us it was all over.
So trade our best pitcher for another starting pitcher how does that makes sense
Trading Cease would be a massive mistake. Elite starting pitching doesn't grow on trees
If a Cease trade does happen, I wouldnāt mind a padre Red Sox trade. Cease for Wilyer Abreu and Kutter Crawford
Sign Profar to a 3-year contract for even 24 million and he turns out to be the old Profar we have all grown to dislike batting 7th or 8th and this organization is through for years to come. This organization at this point can't afford to make a mistake with a three or four year contract on ANYONE. If you trade king which would be a huge mistake and let's just assume the Padres make another huge mistake then you basically have nothing left of value from the Soto trade. This is just going to be a season of musical chairs and when the music stops this team will once again be short on starting pitching and either short on a catcher or left field OR BOTH. With another season once again with no bench. If another team had a pitcher good enough to pitch in the Major leagues why would they take on Dylan Cease who's been extremely inconsistent? No decent player is within the Padres price range at this point. They are running out of time, the window is closing yet the Padres are dumping salary. THAT'S THEIR PRIORITY. Another season of AJ flying by the seat of his pants, really having no idea what's going to happen with this team other than they will dump salary and HOPE It all works out. Word is the Dodgers might be trying to sign a certain left-handed closer the Padres had last season. MUST BE NICE
Broke padres š
Bad news every day
TRADE SUAREZ PLEASE
The Padres are cutting payroll because they have Tatis, Machado, Bogaerts, Darvish, Cronenworth, Mesgeove big contracts. All these contracts and they donāt have the revenue to maintain this. Peter Seidler authorized these contracts because he hoped to win a title before he died and knew it wasnāt going to be his problem! There was no need to give Machado the 2nd contract, no need to sign Bogaerts, no need to extend Darvish but they didā¦ they made their bed, now they have to lay in it!
The Pobres always finding new ways to become the joke of MLB.
This fool talking about Padres getting Sasaki when heās talking about trading Cease. You think Sasaki wants to go to a failure of a franchise that the Padres has become?!
Hahahaha PLAYING POOR REMEMBER YALL GAVE OUT 1.1 billion to MACHADO TATIS BOGAERTS AND MUSGROVE
15:25 Thatās right, you aināt like us. That āBeat LAā chant is gonna sound a bit weaker come next season when those bandwagon fans stop going to see the Padres.
To think couple years ago sadres has juan soto š and created a super team just to fail š š š š
Window official close tuff shit
Wouldn't it be smarter to wait to see if the Padres get Sasaki before you unload Cease? Also , why would Sasaki want to come to the cost cutting Padres when he knows there will be no long term contract for him when he is eligible. Or are you dumb enough to think hanging out with Darvish is more important then money
Ohtani is betting on Merrill signing with the Red Sox when heās a free agent. š¤£
Sasaki will not sign with a team that is struggling to build a true contender year in and year out let alone pay to keep good pitching to compete .
Darvish is 38!
How much does he have in the tank ?
Cease was a bussed in the playoffs. I understand the reason why.
Dodgers love hitting off of Cease. He was the main reason the Padres lost in the NLDS.
Iām sure this news instills so much confidence in the team for Cease.
