Another name we were connected to off the board. Maybe he wanted to stay home, but this is a very good contract.

  1. Lol, we aren’t gonna sign anybody. Kelenic starting LF and Arcia at SS on opening day is gonna be sweet.

  2. People keep laughing but ever since Alex got his long term deal all he’s done is bring back former Braves and cut payroll. He’s not passionate about it anymore. He’s phoned it in.

  3. I’m get we have holes to fill, but this is a contract AA would not sign and I’m ok with it.

  4. If you take a step back… if AA didn’t sign anyone, the Braves are still solid. There’s no way they repeat last year’s offensive drought with guys like Riley, Olson, Ozuna, Albies, and eventually Acuna. Who wouldn’t want that stacked lineup? Pitching? We have the reigning Cy Young winner at the top of the order with Lopez, Schwellenbach, (maybe Morton), and a host of young guns in the wings. I think the biggest need is bullpen help.

  5. When AA said that he liked the internal options and Holmes for the rotation, I already knew that nothing was going to happen. Will probably resign Morton and thats it.

  6. Im a number 1 AA defender, but im getting antsy.

Buehler could still be a fit, and I doubt we sign Teoscar, so it looks like impact moves will likely be through trade, but who knows when or who that will be.

  7. Would yall rather bring Morton back or go with the Grant Holmes experience round 2?

I mean you save money with Holmes.

  8. This off-season reminds me of when you ask mom for McDonald’s, and she says we have perfectly fine food at home.

  9. Morton, Anderson, Elder, Vines, Winans are going to figure heavily in this year’s team. Not great.

  10. I mean I understand everyone getting frustrated but the team is capable of winning a world series with the current roster and the Braves are never going to be big spenders. The window is closing in a couple of years and we don’t want to be behind the 8 ball on the inevitable rebuild with this barren farm system.

  11. It’s almost like people forget that AA swung a trade last offseason for the eventual CY winner and gave up next to nothing in the process, paid very little of the CY winners salary, and extended the CY winner.

An all time fleece and yet everyone seemingly forgets less than a year later.
