Could there be a trade matchup with the Reds? They seem to have plenty of outfielders and pitching options.
What are the chances Braves call up the Guardians for Lane Thomas and pitching
The Braves are thrift shop buyers. I believe resetting the CBT has always been the goal for this year.
Yes
Love him
But
Yes🤓🍿
Never believe what AA tells you never
One reason they could afford to pay charlie so much last season because the rest of the rotation in wasn't making much money.
Heck Strider made $1 mill and Red Sox paid most of the Sale contract.
I don't think the Braves are going to insult Charlie Morton by offering him a contract of what they'd actually be willing to pay him, which I'd put around the $8 million mark — what they'd be WILLING to pay. Without Charlie they get to test out their prospects, they reset their CBT. The top Free Agent contracts are almost ALWAYS a HUGE overpay for value. It's been this way in baseball for(ever?) a long time.
I don’t get how I keep hearing Morton is a “big family guy”. His kids grandkids are probably set for life with the amount of money Charlie has made in his career (plus gained in investments). Retire and spend time with your family . Especially in the summer months. He’ll regret not doing so if he is in deed “a big family guy”
We need pitching. Always do because pitching wins.
No Charlie shouldn’t come back! AA is working on something big be patient. Look for the Angels to move on Charlie
Thank God they're moving on. Best news ever.
I think the only real signing they make is a high leverage reliever they really need that. We have already seen them in past season shuffle a lot of young starters in and out of the majors they probably will do that again
