Well if we were going to have someone keep the bench warm, rather it be Campbell than Cossa
Guess this makes it clear the team only plans on letting cossa get a taste this year, can’t say I blame them. Hopefully next year we will see him more
Lol, all this is just getting hilarious.
lalomd knows how to ride goalies to they break
Cossa is starting in Grand Rapids tonight for what’s it’s worth, and Lyon is nearly back
More goalies!
I would much prefer Jack get the call up then Cossa if it means Cossa gets ice time in GR.
People aren’t going to like this
I’m fine with this. Husso was going to start anyways with Talbot going down again. I’d rather Cossa start with GR tonight and stay down than sit on the bench in Detroit tomorrow.
Redemption arc incoming…
Yeah Cossa needs to be playing regularly in the AHL
Hope all the best for Jack, great guy
My hot take is that the management (internally) has waived the white flag on this season. Team play and not doing anything about it is enough to conclude this.
Am I missing something? Is Campbell backing up Talbot instead of Husso?
We went from one of the best goalie tandem to this, maybe they will win him who know
SOUPY!
Can he coach?
As long as he doesn’t get injured. He is like our only linebacker left on Sundays
The team isn’t saying, but I am fairly sure now that Talbot’s mystery injury is a groin pull or strain. My hunch is it was bothering him for a bit, and he felt it get worse which is why he came out of the game the way he did when we first heard he had an injury. Then he went for an evaluation, missed 10 days, came back but they said he battled through it to finish the game against Philly, and now he tried to go for practice this morning and couldn’t. It all adds up. He’s got a nagging type of injury and he may need to be shut down for an extended time for it to go away completely. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s how I see it.
Why isn’t Cossa the starter? Wings probably aren’t making the playoffs anyway. Might as well deal what we’ve got for some draft picks. Besides, cossas proven he belongs. Who knows, maybe he’d be just as good as the current starters.
Its much more difficult to get young guys to rally around old guys, than it is to get old guys to rally around young ones
