This team is in full profit mode. They know they’ll sell out games next year, they’re trying to cut payroll and rake it in.
For real, I’m wanting to see some Padres news
If Sasaki doesn’t work out in the Padres favor, he’ll be forced into trades knowing at least one of 3 players – King, Arraez, Cease – won’t be on the team come next year. And one too many holes on the roster that won’t be able to compete for the playoffs again unless it’s adequately addressed – C, LF, DH, 4th OF/INF.
Please don’t give up the 2nd player to throw a no-no in franchise history or the modern day Tony… X though… eh

Stove is too hot, he doesn’t want to overpay and want to use desperation due to organization limits the budget
Whatever moves he makes…..it’ll be interesting as his budget ceiling has been set. Expect to be surprised as we always are as fans.
I’m also girding for a Padres offseason that doesn’t have any fireworks too.
I just really hope Oscar Gonzalez makes the spring training roster… he’s like a young Franimal. Especially If we lose Profar, I’d like to see this kid have a shot
