Cause of death: Josh McDaniels
For about 33% of teams in the NFL the real fix is change in ownership, which isn't possible because it's impossible not to make massive profit as an owner. Even if your team never wins, still make huge profits that increase every season
I think the NFL stock exchange said it best and yeah they did refer to mc Daniels tenure as a huge setback and sam is right so is Steve with the falcons taking Penix because the raiders were impressed with his pro day and the missed draft picks especially 2020 and the Alex leatherwood pick definitely another setback before mcdummy but at least in 2019 they got Josh Jacobs and Maxx Crosby.
I think they have to get rid of Walt as a super fan. Under his leadership they've had an awful season. Sometimes you have to start a rebuild at the bottom.
As a Broncos fan this is what I think they need.
1. A coach with legacy. Pete Carroll.
2. A franchise QB.
3. OC – Pat Shurmer CU Buffs
4. O line, O line, O line.
5. Weapons for your QB. Bowers is a great start.
6.Make a Black and Gold alternative uniform.
Raiders had some bad 1st round picks under John Gruden, and Sam is right, McUseless and ex GM Ziegler took the team down. GM Tom Telesco and Tom Brady should make a good draft team. If Raiders have good drafts in 2025 and 2026 and get a top QB, I think they will be competitive again.
Roach fans talked so much ๐ฉ๐. How they were going to win the AFC West, and they were going to sweep the Broncos and the Chargers and split with the Chiefs. How glad they were glad they got AP instead of "cornball" Jim Harbaugh as head coach.
Antonio Pierce is worse than McDaniels.
Josh McDaniels came into Denver gutted their whole team of all their young talent then got caught cheating and got fired. Raiders then proceded to hire him and he gutted their whole team and then got fired. Ya he's the worst HC to ever be given so much time.
Go Texans!
Let us not forget Hue Jackson among the tier of the worst head coaches.
THE COACHING , THE DEFENSE. AND NOW OFFENSE , RUNNING GAME , FRIST PICK THE RIGHT HC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrible drafting has decimated the depth of this team, emphasis on the Gruden regime and the QB miss of McDaniels…
Raiders (from this point on) cannot afford to miss on early round picks and developmental players in the mid-later rounds, starting with the (future) QB selection next year๐ค๐ดโโ ๏ธ
The sad thing is as bad as Josh McDaniels was, Strictly from a coaching perspective AP is even worse, so that only compounded the problem
2 things are true: Derek Carr is a mid-QB unable to elevate a team to the promised land AND the Raiders did a terrible job replacing him
If youโre not a raiders fan please donโt speak on the team for clicks and views. Your take is trash to us
TOTALLY skipping the part about how we lost a record number of games, after having double digit leads. If that ain't happen in 2022, we would've been not only back in the playoffs, but in the running for home field throughout. ๐ฎ So no, we WEREN'T some type of false playoff team. ๐ฏ
