This is from the Detroit broadcast. The red circle is theirs, showing how much net was open. They were pretty excited about how dangerous it was.

  1. The kid gonna be great. He just needs to stop with that. Torts gonna teach him even in he’s lost the battle for now.

  2. You really want him to get this Michigan goal, don’t you? The sub cheerleader of the Michkov Mich.

Your flair should be Michi Michkov.

  3. Goalie’s got his eyes on the puck and the time to get to the other side of the net. This wrap around is getting stopped whether he goes low, middle, or high.

  4. The bottom of the net is only open because the puck is going for the corner. If he went low the goalie would have covered low

  5. You could do that for any save a goalie makes if you get a still image of the puck hitting the goalie and then circle all of the open net

  6. It’s not as easy to go Michigan low, that’s why you never see it attempted. The puck only stays on the blade if the stick is at least horizontal

  7. The goalie’s blocker moves. If he’d done lower, the blocker would’ve been lower too. Maybe he’d score but it’s no guarantee.

  8. I don’t understand the criticism. How is this any worse than a traditional shot? What about all the high and wide shots that go around the boards and out of the zone? Any criticism of it is stupid.

  9. Yea but it’s much harder to go low with the puck on your stick like that. And goalies know that.
