  1. If he can stay healthy (which he has only surpassed the 45 innings once in his career) he would slot in behind Severino in that rotation.

    That collective bargaining agreement to force the A’s to spend will hopefully help them field a team that is watchable.

    Gotta give the people of Las Vegas something to get excited about

    Although I am not sure how much excitement Springs has generate.

On the surface this looks like a dud of a trade, but honestly this is a really nice move that has a pretty high upside and not much of a downside aside from them just having another bad year if he’s hurt or not the back to his former self. If he has a big year they could also always trade him at the deadline for some big prospects if they aren’t winning games too, so they could flip him for a higher return.
