Looks like that is the idea is to build around bam and Tyler in a fresh new way.
And just like that we got Tyler Herro playing for meal tickets.
We’re going to want to retain Highsmith and Jovic, so it’ll be interesting to see what their contracts look like.
Yep 2025 is the time. That’s when Riley is going to get into whale mode again. DeAaron Fox will be unrestricted 👀
That’s assuming the FO doesn’t fall in love with some role players and give them massive extensions. Caleb is not on the table because of his agent; otherwise, it would be a $14.5 million AAV from 2025/26 until 2027/28.
By the end of the 2025/26 season, I think they’ll have some interest in extending Duncan, Highsmith, and Jovic, barring injuries and other factors.
I wonder what the FO would get if they always traded the players they develop. Maybe they could get at least a couple of second-round picks to eventually trade for a high-end role player.
Luka and KD both free agents in 2026 just to throw that out there. Not saying it’s at all realistic that either will run their contracts down and test free agency but it’s not nothing.
If Pat is able to pull a 2010 or even a 2019 as a last hurrah before he inevitably retires I’ll take back every mean thing I’ve said about him

I hope Jovic takes the leap we all know he can and we have to pay him. Would be a good thing. And def keep Highsmith if maintains his level of role play. That’s a solid roster. Add in a top vet star looking to come here and we’ve got a real team to win it.

Keep resigning JRich for the vet min at least for a couple more years. He’s ready when we need him. I agree Jovic and Haywood probably resigned but with cap growing would be interested to see their numbers. Despite all that, we still need 1 🐳 from Riley!
