Seattle Seahawks news today has the latest on Geno Smith. In a Mike Macdonald interview this morning with Seattle Sports, the Seattle Seahawks head coach said that Geno Smith is optimistic that he could return as early as this week against the Minnesota Vikings, after suffering an injury in the Seahawks vs. Packers highlights. The Geno Smith injury news is very good for the Seattle Seahawks, after the Sam Howell highlights were not great last night when he came in to take over for Geno Smith. 1. Other than Geno being healthy which is always great news how on earth is this good news for the Seattle Seahawks organization and team.

How is Geno playing with pain a good thing for him or the team?

If Geno is going to be throwing into double coverage in the red zone healthy why would you want an injured Geno who’s experiencing pain to throw the ball?

Sam Howell is clearly looking like a huge mistake, Ryan Grubb should start thinking about going back to college and John Schneider should be feeling the heat in a big way.

No one is going to want to watch a product like this on the field.

If ownership cares about the legacy of this team serious changes must be made or Seattle will be the home of every other teams fans except for Seahawks fans and Seahawks fans will be paying to see other star players play.

Seattle will be a novelty destination and a team and organization not to be taken seriously.

I personally enjoy watching great fundamentals in this game and effort along with talent. Wins are the icing on the cake.

We shall see what happens next.

    Go Hawks.

  2. So… Is there anyone out there that still thinks Sam Howell could be a future replacement for Geno next year? And if not, is there anyone who now thinks he's even a viable backup next season? I don't… Having said that, I put some of last night's offensive woes on Grubb's play calling. That interception in the end zone seemed as much on the play scheme (having two WR's in the same area of the end zone so the DB can drop off the front guy to pick the WR behind) as it was Geno. And then when Geno goes down and Howell clearly isn't handling the rush, where are the draws, screens, misdirections — and TE help on the blocking?

  3. When Tyler was on the “more BOBO” train last year, I stopped taking his “analysis” of Seahawk talent, fixes, and future seriously.
I suppose quitting alcohol years ago may have influenced my discernment.

  4. Yall “fans” gotta realize if the oline doesn’t improve the injuries are gonna mount up. Yall saw what Sam Howell did when geno went down & what did he do?? Yeah NOTHING

  5. The Seahawks got beat in trenches, allowing 7 sacks which will disrupt any offense. Oh, by the way, the defense couldn't stop a runny nose if they're life depended on it 🤦🏿‍♂️

  6. I think we know how this will go,Tyler, I've been watching football (Seahawks) for over 40 years and if Geno is hurt but plays, that's not great,if he doesn't play that's even worse,a definite loss and we don't have any other options, i don't think Brady is going to come out of retirement to play behind our O line, best case scenario is Geno isn't hurt or it wears off quickly but Sam Howell, forget about it,he's not an NFL grade QB.

  7. How in gods earth can this lame brain so called back up quarterback is even in the game ? He is the worstback up evervin Seattle/ why for gods sake did they wave an get rid of DRUE LOCK? HE WAS THE BEST BACK UP EVER ? SEAHAWKS SUCKED YESTERDAY /

  8. You said and everyone else said well Seattle will have the chance to show the nation what they're made of. And they did, a big steamy bag of dog shit. So the heckling goes on sea chickens, Sea dogs ect…

  9. Give Geno the Baker or Daniels contract, doesn't hurt keeping our Key players. Draft O-line and a few for defensive depth. But have an out lime in this contract incase we get someone better. Love Geno. I am just a realist.

  10. It is a miracle that Geno has done as well as he has. With our Oline, fact we can't run the ball consistently. We make it hard for our qbs to do well.

  11. Sam went in cold against a good team that was already dominating Seattle. One performance, in less than half a game, isnt enough for everyone to start flapping their heads. I'd rather have Geno in so Sam can learn behind him, but Sam has a high ceiling, and if we have to rely on him with actual reps with starters in practice, knowing he's going to play, I'm confident he will do better.

  12. Offensive line protection is the problem. Not the QB, To quote Tampa Bay coach John McKay when a reporter asked, "what do think about the execution of your offensive line"? McKay said, "I'm all for it". Classic.
